No Problem I just figured that was appropriate given the mess around here.

Yep, and I can guarantee ALL of them were with QBs with a hand size below 9 1/4...:nownow:

Well, I've only used those words on one QB in the past 15 years, that was Andrew Luck...then he got injured and even THAT went down the drain.

Too many variables in the NFL hurt a QB prospects chance of success. Whether it is a bad coach, bad scheme, bad QB (lol), bad surrounding roster. It is rare these days that a QB has an opportunity to sit and learn and grow into a system. OR, lucky enough to be drafted into a team that is ready to carry the load of the offense, with very little needed except a general management of the offense falling on a young QBs shoulders. Generally speaking, high draft pick QBs are a complete mess..like our Browns...They need a lot on that roster to be able to support a young prospect still learning his way. BUT, in most cases, if he can't step in and succeed immediately, he is written off as failed and delegated to a career backup or out of the league all together.

    :cheers:you got it buddy!

I sure am looking forward to the day when these Browns make me as excited about the regular season, as I get about draft season....

And this is pretty much word for word the same thing that I preach on every year at this time. It's also the reason I re-rank players post draft to reflect what kind of immediate and long term success I think they will have in their new situation.

My 'can't miss' comment to Irish was tongue in cheek, I don't recall anyone using those exact words on this forum (in reference to Baker) and I wasn't directing any post in your direction. If you got that impression because I was responding to showstopper in a post where he referenced you then I should have been more clear in my own response. Any confusion on that would be my fault.

For anyone that follows the draft discussion on Twitter, there are a lot of people out there that consider Baker a can't miss prospect. It's something that I disagree with as there have only ever been, maybe, one handful players out there that I would even consider using that term (since 2007), and I still refrain from using it for the reasons you stated.

I want my QB to throw the rock better than any other QB in the league, not rock the best hats...

I agree. Plus Newton does pout when he loses....Not really my guy either, though I respect his game a great deal.

This is just about Cam vs. Luck....

    Since we are correcting measurements:

Baker also grew since the Senior Bowl...He measured in at 6' 5/8" (6'3/8" at Senior Bowl), at this rate, he should be 6'1" by the time the season starts...

Well according to Hue, that's still too short to play in the NFL. Except for when it's not...o_O

EDIT: Strange how it was cut and dried last year, yet we have clear and defined exceptions this year...

Height of QB's Hue has loved/coached with marginal success:

    6'6" (Joe Flacco)
    6'5" (Carson Palmer)
    6'5" (Jason Campbell)
    6'4" (Joey Harrington)
    6'4" (DeShone Kizer)

Height of QB's Hue has had success with:

    6'2" (Andy Dalton)

Maybe Hue needs to re-evaluate his height requirement (among other things).

Definitely a pimp. He don't jump on balls. He's like miss me with that gay shit.

Probably the only time I'll use that stupid meme.

    **Cody Kessler 6'1"

  19. Success w Dalton?

  20. TopDawg Legend

He said "success with" Irish...I don't think Kessler qualifies.
