Or if you get desirable measurements at the Senior Bowl, you can simply ride them to the combine?? Here's the thing, Baker is most likely getting asked to sign more autographs than anyone else at the combine, so he is probably cramping up, which didn't allow him to open up those fingers as much as he normally does...I'm going with the Senior Bowl measurement, since he has demonstrated that he is capable of measuring in there...
Makes you wonder what his 'no effing way' number would be? I honestly would have liked to see Baker with hands somewhere in the 9 3/4 range (or higher) in relation to his height. I'm not going to kill him over it though, and hand size has to be under 9 for me to deduct anything from a guy's score. His measurements are in line with what I expected and have no real impact on where I have him right now.
I'm filling out a resume on your behalf to fill the position of Baker Mayfield's communication director. That was not only a great pot of soup to sell, but you slang that shit off the stove and into the bowl both quick and effortlessly, lol.
Well SAS has him #1 and it's not even close...I know you don't have him #1 so yes fairly low on your board compared to SAS
I'm not saying this because of his hand size, but I STILL TO THIS DAY stand by the thought that Manziel could have been a great QB in this league. It was his mental incapacity to deal with his demons that cost him his career. He's only 25 years old...IF he could figure out a way to get his personal life in check, I wouldn't bet against him to find a way back into the league and actually find success. That's a long road ahead, but his skill set was unbelievable.
@showstopper 2018 Class QB1 - Mayfield QB2 - Jackson QB3 - Rosen QB4 - Darnold QB5 - Finley All-Time (since 2011) QB1 - Mayfield QB2 - Newton QB3 - Manziel QB4 - Winston QB5 - Griffin
Agreed 100%. Ability/talent was not the issue with Manziel, it was always the off-field stuff. I am rooting for him to turn it around. I hate what he did to the franchise and his attitude is still garbage, but he's got so much natural talent it'd be a shame to let it go to waste.
Gotta watch out for those Wolfpack QBs... Russell Wilson Philip Rivers Heck... Jacoby Brissett looked half-decent last season.
Agreed 100%. I had this conversation a couple days ago with a friend of mine. We will hear from Johnny again IF he can get his shit together....
All time since 2011? At the time of their draft? That's an interesting list...I'm sorry, but I totally bought into the Andrew Luck hype. I really thought he was the best QB to come out since Peyton Manning.
@SAS. Funny how we both immediately went with the "Agreed 100%" take on Johnny....You just type way faster than me. lol!
