Rosen is a statue. An injury prone statue...No thanks.

Darnold I can see, but he still scares the shit out of me. I like his size, and arm strength. I like the way he can move his feet, and extend plays (something Rosen can't do at all). The problem with him is obvious. He really was a turnover machine at USC. The interceptions are bad enough, but how the hell do ya have 15 fumbles in 23 games? Good lord....That's serious red flag in my book. Can he handle pressure, or not? Those numbers are game deciders in the NFL.

Right... because Josh Rosen who's biggest selling points are:
    • NFL-level mechanics
    • NFL-level footwork
    • NFL-level arm
Has a ton of room to grow. Literally, the guy you want has highest floor of any of these QB's because he's already very good at what coaches teach new QBs to do.

Follow-up: he is a statue by modern NFL terms. He doesn't create outside the pocket and actually makes it worse when plays break down (forced throws, interceptions, etc.). That means at the next level, he needs an elite offensive line to keep him clean and a bevvy of pass-catchers for hot-route and outlet options when things do break down.

This would seem to favor a horizontal, quick-pass offense... very WCO in design. That is not the style of offense that Haley or Jackson run.

Rosen has the talent to be a very good QB but he's going to need a surrounding cast like Atlanta provides to Matt Ryan. If he gets drafted to the right situation and does well... please don't beat your chest like you were right about some guy because he would fail in Cleveland. It's exactly like the folks who think Carson Wentz would have been an MVP-candidate last season had Cleveland drafted him.

The Browns need to draft the right QB, not the one with the highest floor/lowest ceiling or strongest arm or whatever.

  4. I agree

Stopper: Your QB is a bum because he was a productive college QB.

Also Stopper: Jameis Winston was the best ever because he threw for 40 touchdowns in a season once in college.

You know who else threw for 40 touchdowns in a season?

    Baker Mayfield.

    Twice.

  9. He has proven it in the NFL.....like 68 TDs before his 24th bday joinging only Marino or 1st in NFL history w B2B 4K yds passing...not to shabby

  10. It was in reference to an article posted on here....Jameis is a NC...Mayfield is a transfer that choked in his biggest game of his life

  11. He wasnt even that successful in college...never hit the 3K mark or exceeded 20 TDs

I just don't see how any Browns fan would want to roll the dice on another unspectacular QB prospect that has the physical characteristics, but serious question marks everywhere else...Isn't that Kizer?

I'll admit that I am a little intrigued by Allen (sorry SAS, but it's true), but it's only because he's such a good athlete. I don't really know if he's a QB or not. With Mayfield, you know you've got a quarterback...

I ask myself this question. If I'm a defensive coordinator, which one of these prospects am I most concerned about facing? It's an easy call. Baker Mayfield all day...It's everything he brings to that locker room. I see obvious holes in all the other prospects....Mayfield checks the boxes that are MOST important. Is he the tallest? no.....Does he have the best arm? no......Is he the best QB prospect? By a mile....It's more than just physical traits.

  13. Easy game plan...keep him in the pocket

You know who only threw for 59 touchdowns in three seasons?

    Josh Rosen.

Rosen career TD% = 5.0 (that's slightly above NFL average)
    Mayfield career TD% = 8.8
Winston career TD% (college, since that apparently counts for him for some reason) = 7.6

  15. Again you just dont follow....it was brought up cause of the article presented here...IT"S REALLY NOT THAT HARD.....I already showed you his accomplishments in the NFL so far w many more to come

  18. Not bad when you go 9-7 instead of 0-16 :bet:

  19. Worst defense in the NFL will do that

  20. Connor Williams kinda small at 296 lbs...Orlando Brown is a freak w a 85" wing span
