bears-bc even with the new rules for movie sets, the abuse will continue. the rules may have changed but the little blonde haired girl with blue eyes and dimples from Jersey who takes the bus to California looking for stardom will face the same bullshit and harassment as the wannabe actresses did 50 to 70's years ago. these sickos will just cover their tracks better. the new changes that are now in place for 2018 movie sets will not be in her name or anything linking to her. I doubt she will be remembered for these new rules as the abuse will still continue in the back room of these movie moguls. McGowan is just another person in the long list of victims that brought a legal suit vs one of the accused.
bears-I believe the sickos will just cover their tracks better. sure the new rules are in place but the nieve 17 yr old who gets off the bus in Hollywood looking for stardom will fall victim to preying agents and directors the same as wannabe actresses did 50-70 years ago.
I think everyone that has been a victim to powerful stars and moguls yet has had the courage to come forward in an effort to change the culture in the entertainment industry is a hero.
A lot of these victims probably were willing participants, because A) they wanted the part & B) they were mesmerized by the star giving them the attention. Are they victims or what?
It’s power abuse. A powerful man or woman taking advantage of a man or woman. It’s blackmail...it’s control...it’s abuse. It’s corruption and it’s greed. It’s always wrong. And yes...they’re victims. There was a time in this country that poor immigrants had no choice but to work in sweatshop factories. Long hours...low wages...zero benefits. They had no say in what happened and could be fired for anything. They were willing participants because they needed the jobs....but they were also victims being abused for powerful people that were likewise greedy and controlling. A participant can be a victim.
For some reason my computer won't copy and paste pictures. But look at this !!! https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/n...ollywood-oscar-biggest-pedophile-goes-1089239
I agree with the billboards ... except for telling people when to do something about events they have to deal with on an emotional level. Getting through that kind of trauma has no timeline, so on that specific aspect, I strongly disagree with Sabo. #ItTakesAsLongAsItTakes
I hear ya there Jean but one thing I find interesting that no one talks about. It's all about TIMESUP# and METOO#. No one seems to give a shit what crazy Corey Feldman has to say about the ring of pedophiles ruling and controlling Hollywood. Look Feldman is a weird guy, but I don't doubt what happened to him and the late Corey Haim. I don't doubt the rape at 14 send Corey Haim into a cyclone of drugs, alcohol and other bad choices. Where is a pin for this movement? Where is this movement at all ? It's not 1 person, it's a ring of major agents and directors praying on kids. Not 20 yr olds. Kids as young as 12, 13 and 14. I'm not a parent, but all my siblings are and if someone raped or molested their kid, the accused would be on the run like the Fugitive from my crazy siblings. Most have guns or a good butcher knife. To me if you wanna talk about Metoo# and Timesup# then Feldman should have a voice too and people talking about what he has to say. He's not as powerful as Oprah or Nicole Kidman, so no one gives a shit about what he has to say. To me that's sad, wrong and unfortunate.
What is this ??? Now I don't have a soul ?? Gidion calls me the "evil empire" of NFL pick'ems !! I didn't even win the damn game this year !!!
Feldman needs to be heard and have more support. In this regard, the macho male psyche is a societal barrier. Men who would normally come to support him will be impacted by this notion as well. On top of that, when he talks about it, he seems a little unhinged. Can't really blame him. He had it rough and still is having a hard time with all of this. Regarding his story, he has people trying to discredit him from various angles, including his best friend's mother. On top of that, he's a B-list (former child-star) celebrity. He has an uphill battle and hopefully he makes it and gets the support and reaction that his message deserves.
Oh I agree its insane that it has taken this long for it to come pouring out the way it is doing so now. Feldmen tried to out it years ago and and was rebuffed by Barbra Walters. Everyone wants to put her on a pedestal when it comes to news and instead of digging and helping out the story she basically shut it down. I cannot explain why the movement is rolling down hillnow. Why this specific group of people makes a difference compared to others that have tried before but I am glad that it is rolling now. I said before and I dont know how you go about it but people who cover it up who knowingly allowed it to happen need to be punished some how. I would love to see it done with criminal charges of some sort but I doubt that happens. It is clear the industry needs a change an overhaul in the way things are done but even this movement may not be enough to do so. Here is a crazy idea but maybe instead of speending time, money and effort in catching cheaters in college sports the FBI could concentrate on catching rapist and molesters in hollywood.
but what is Rose McGowan ? She's a C list celebrity who brought down a movie mogul. Who is Anthony Rapp? A C list actor and broadway actor who ended the career of Kevin Spacey. I agree with Feldman and uphill battles, but these others did it to the men that harmed them.
