This had to be a Colt's beat writer, didn't it? I'm sure some team will be willing to trade #1, #4, #33, and #35 to a team for a broken, below-average quarterback who got away with his garbage throws and poor decision-making in a weak conference that would get eaten alive - not only in the AFC North, but the new AFC South with improved teams like Houston and Jacksonville. #1, #4, #33 and #35 are worth a staggering 5,930 points. To give that ridiculous value some context, if you owned just the first pick in every round (e.g., you were the worst team record and made no trades), your draft would be worth 4,041.2 for all seven picks. The Browns would be giving up 147% of the last-place team's draft value for a sub-60% QB without a right shoulder who's missed a year and a half, isn't ready for the start of 2018, and who was - at best - Kirk Cousins-esque. That writer should be fired on the spot.
I assumed that as well...unbelievable. Must have been medicated..I just wanted to look at some mocks, and that beauty had just popped up. Embarrassing. This from the one team over the last 20 years that we got the best of in a trade. lol (T. Richardson for #1).....
Smok'em if you got'em.... I can't see any universe where the Browns give up even one first rounder let alone the first FOUR picks for ANY QB...
I feel like @IrishDawg42 was just saying this... It's both wise and fair, but agree to disagree, Pat. I saw the worst QB I've even seen suit up for my Cleveland Browns last season... no offseason is going to fix that. I want my position coach, coordinator, and yes... even head coach, spending all of their time coaching up the rookie we take at #1 and not wasting time on a guy who will (even by the HC's own words) never "get it".

geez..1-31 has taken it's toll.. These guys all say that they don't pay attention to what is being said about them, but Hue looks as if he has consumed every word...
Couple of takeaways from his press conference... Wants a veteran QB on the team (looking at you, A.J. McCarron) Does not want to trade down Will work with Dorsey on QB decision (nice way of saying, 'I've been stripped of power') QB size hasn't changed - 6'2" and 10" hands but there are "outliers" (looking at you, Baker Mayfield) Wishes Darnold was throwing, won't change their assessment of him (second round pick) Joe Thomas will give them a heads up on his decision, expects him back Crowell discussed in past-tense (he's gone) 180'd on Josh Gordon, now wants him to be a Brown "for a long, long time" Finally, yes... he's still "planning" to jump in the Lake
btw, when is Hue taking the lake plunge? I wanted to see it happen the minute after 0-16 became reality....Anybody can jump in in July.
lol! Well who wouldn't? smh...I don't think that's gonna fly with the Browns fans that have to live with 0-16 for the rest of time...Hue might be gone before Halloween...
