It took all 64 min., 59.8 sec., to do it, but Buffalo left Detroit with 2 points. Sheesh, you had 2/10ths of second to spare. Why sweat it?

Did someone say Evander Kane is in a scoring slump?
I say he's going to make some team very happy over the next few months.

IMHO, he'd slot perfectly into Boston's lineup and make them a SC probable. Hey, the NYR & NJD made a deal.

 

Id welcome Kane and McDonagh with open arms. I think the Bruins need the D more though, especially in the long run.
only really matters what Sweeney and Neely want though.

 

Kane would be perfect for the Bruins, I think he'd fit right in, McDonut too.

If the Bruins could do that they would be the undisputed top of the heap in my opinion... yes even above the Lightning. Their real close now. I'm just wondering if the East has anyone that can knock either out of the Playoffs. Something to look forward to.

BTW - I like Kane a lot. He's wild and out of control on and off the ice at times, but he can bring a skill set to the game come playoff time that is second to none. I just think he has the game that can prevail in a long, dog fight of a series.

 

I knew i'd get some flack for that one, lol. Pittsburgh is right up there close, but I don't know how deep they are for a playoff run or how hungry they would be to take on that grind again. Having said that tho, the Pens could pull just about anything off, especially offensively, but I wonder if their superior on the back-end?

Ive been looking for a Phil and Amanda Kessel poster to throw up in my daughter's room. nothing good in my search so far. Im thinking a 90's-like real cheesy Top Gun style sort of thing. I need Amanda in there as a wingman.

 

anyone else notice just how similar her skating and mannerism on the ice are to her brother. that real low and wide stance and the little head bob when she gets the puck.

I think the NYI are all-in for trying to make a deep run this year. Locking up Bailey was a prerequisite to making sense of becoming a buyer.

The NJD & PIT have upped the ante in the Metro. I think they'll go hard after Hoffman or E. Kane. (Even after the Rangers broke with history, I still cannot see them trading Nash to Brooklyn).

Really, I think this all about Garth trying to convince JT to stay on the Island. Revive the IGWT chants!

I think cheaper bottom six scoring may make the most sense for Hex. I think a guy like Gus Girgensons could add nice versatility since he can play the pivot or the wing. He also has nice toughness that's always needed in the real season.

He'll be an RFA so he is not just a rental and at his age could be a long term asset.

Lastly, I've liked his poise, his quiet leadership traits, since the day he was drafted (1/ #14, 2012).

A good guy with an all-star appearance (thanks to Latvia), who plays with some snarl, and who probably needs a change of scenery.

 

Big game for the Flyers this afternoon and their up early, 1-0.

 

2-0 now, making it look easy against the Senators so far.

 

I'm at the Toronto autoshow. Had a burrito and hope I survive the day.
