I never knew he was a Nole, but always had mad respect...Well you know, as much respect as I can have for a receiver that covered himself in glue...;)

Wow. Looks like somebody had a few too many bowls of loudmouth soup last night, and started bragging about SB knowledge. Tito's, in case you're wondering. Same effect as Goose, though much easier on the wallet...Sorry about that. We were playing cards last night and a friend, that I haven't seen in a long time, asked me if could still do that. Since I can't really hold a pen in my hand very well anymore, I just decided to do it here, and share with others that love the game. FTR, I could have named the college of every guy I posted except two. Biletnikoff and Mark Rypien. (Wash St). Stopper made me think of that when he mentioned Fred.... It's funny how I can reel them off with ease up until the late 90"s. Is it a coincidence that the picture starts to get cloudy around the same time Art Modell moved the Browns? I don't think so...My desire to keep memorizing SB knowledge faded when the Cleveland Browns were gone from the league, and it did not return when they gave us the new Browns....I could get close, and if you asked me about a particular game, I could give all the details. Just kind of a hobby. I'm the go to guy for Super Bowl trivia. Useless as that is...lol!

There's also a guy from Morehead State on that list...

Somebody told me that the number he wore in the movie The Longest Yard, was the same number he wore at FSU. But when I looked it up, it seems he wore #46 and #20 at FSU, and I know he wore #22 in the movie. Maybe that was his HS number or something...

Burt never got to play much in college. Injured his knee in 54, missed all of 55, and then when he tried to come back, he re-injured the same knee in a car accident, and that was it...

A friend of mine back in the sk00l dayz (80s) was told he looked like Burt Reynolds so he wore #22 throughout JrHS/HS football.

Burt Reynolds... the best goddamned actor EVER!

In re-looking that list over, this is just not true. lol! I know Biletnikoff was a WR, but I was thinking of the QB's...There are several MVP's from other position that I wouldn't know the school they are from, without looking it up ...Chuck Howley, Richard Dent, Randy White, John Riggins to name a few. The only QB I couldn't get though, was Mark Rypien...

btw; QB Brett Rypien (Boise St.) is Mark's nephew. He originally went to Wash. St, but transferred...I believe he is elidgeable for this year's draft.

I just have always thought it was unfair to count a schools history against a player. A friend of mine is convinced that Baker Mayfield will be a huge bust, if for no other reason than because he's from a Big 12 school...I just don't buy that argument. In this case, he's ruling out an entire conference. To me it's ridiculous. It's kind of the same thing as the way the media spins about the Cleveland Browns. As if, no matter who we take, it won't work because it's Cleveland....Ya can't tell me that crap doesn't get on your nerves when ya hear it.

I mean, how great was the N.D. St QB history before Carson Wentz came along? Or Northern Iowa, before Kurt Warner? It's hard to find a QB that can transition to the NFL, but he could come from any program, regardless of perceived history of said program...

I just think every prospect should be graded, without being prejudiced by circumstances that really have nothing to do with the player himself....

Browns drafting Mayfield at #1 and Fitzpatrick at #4. This is going to be a boring R1, TBH.

On the flip side, it’s also an R1 to fix this franchise for the next decade. So I guess that’s good.

Anything but boring imho. What about a 3rd first rounder, moving up to select Sony Michel in the late 20s? Would that make it less boring?

#35 and #64 gets us to #21 (Buffalo has two in a row) and we grab an offensive skill player.

Replace Michel with Ronald Jones and you’ve got a deal, friend!

We have a slew of 2nd rd picks, and two of them are right at the top of the round. No need to trade up for a RB if that's what we want. Be patient and let him fall into our lap. I'm not saying there will be another Alvin Kamara that slides all the way to the 3rd rd, but we don't need there to be. There will be talent on the board at RB in rd 2, and we control the top of that round...If we pull suggested trade up to around #20 for an offensive difference maker, I'd rather it be for Courtland Sutton...

Close to locking him in at R4P1 for me.

Draft is filling out nicely already and we haven't even hit the Combine yet!

  20. So he gives no reason why?
