https://brownswire.usatoday.com/201...e-major-interest-in-rams-cb-trumaine-johnson/ ^^^I agree with that....Should go after LaMarcus Joyner too.
I think it will boil down to Mayfield or Darnold.....If we decide Darnold is the guy we want, we will take him #1 overall.....If we decide Mayfield is the guy, I do believe they will take Barkley #1 or trade it, and then get Mayfield at #4
I guess ball security isn't a big deal then. Silly me. Darnold had as many fumbles as ints. Shit his drawers against an NFL caliber D. So I guess if you want Kizer 2.0 as your guy...
lol! Relax crex. Is that really what I said? read again... You should know by now that I'm in the Baker Mayfield corner....The LV odds say we will take Darnold. That's all I was referencing...
I know its' been a three horse race as to who has touted Mayfield around here I'm not sure who is leading either I am not seeing what it is that people like Darnold that much. I've watched enough to know I haven't seen anything special about his game.
I'm with you on this, Crex. I can't, for the life of me, see what it is the "experts" see in Darnold. Then adding to my skepticism, is the history of USC quarterbacks in the NFL.
I'm not even looking at that part of the equation... But ya not many SB caliber QB's came from USC....
I stand by my evaluation of darnold. Regarless of the fact he comes from USC. Imho he isn't even in Carson Palmer's league
For the record... feel free to believe it or not...but I've done this trick for as long as I can remember...bound to be some mistakes though. It's been while... Winning SB QB's Bart Starr MVP Bart Starrt MVP Joe Namath MVP Len Dawson MVP Johnny Unitas (only losing team MVP- Chuck Howley- Dal) Roger Staubach MVP Bob Griese (MVP Jake Scott) Bob Griese (MVP Larry Csonka) famous Syracuse #44 Terry Bradshaw (MVP Franco Harris) Terry BradShaw (MVP Lynn Swann) Ken Stabler (MVP Biletnikov) Roger Staubach (Co-MVP Harvey Martin and Randy White) Terry Bradshaw MVP Terry Bradsaw MVP Jim Plunkett MVP Joe Montana MVP Joe Theisman (MVP Riggins) Jim Plunkett (MVP Marcus Allen) EDIT: in Tampa...I was at this one! Joe Montana MVP Jim McMahon (MVP Richard Dent) Phil Simms MVP Doug Williams MVP Joe Montana (MVP Rice) Joe Montana MVP Jeff Hostetler (MVP OJ Anderson) Mark Rypien MVP Troy Aikman (MVP Emmitt?) Troy Aikman MVP Steve Young MVP Troy Aikman ( Some DB...I can't remember his name) Brett Favre (MVP Desmond Howard) John Elway (Terrell Davis MVP) John Elway MVP Kurt Warner MVP Trent Dilfer (MVP Ray Lewis) Tom Brady MVP Brad Johnson (MVP some DB i can't remember) and after that I kind of stopped caring....That was straight off the cuff. I'm pretty sure it's accurate... I know the Pats got busy, but I got busy having kids at this point...I'm sure I could get real close with the remaining SB's and MVP's, but it would be riddled with mistakes, so I'd rather not... Not even sure why I did this...But it was quite the memory test... Hopefully we'll see a Browns QB up there some day...
Sorry Crex.. we good. I've been crazy lately... I have no idea what to think of Darnold...I can honestly say i watched three games of his, and I wasn't that impressed. But what the hell do I know? I say this every year (like a broken record),but it is true... we just don't have access to the interviews. That would be nice, but it's never gonna happen.. We can't make true QB assessments without knowing who these guys are. As fans, we are basically guessing....Yes, we can look at stats, game film, and physical characteristics, and make determinations from there. And we can watch them run drills at the combine., but we ALL know that a true NFL QB brings more to the table than an arm and height advantage...
