I think Baker mostly played OLB at tOSU, but he did just declare draft eligible.

Ryan Shazier was an OLB at Ohio State. Steelers converted him to an ILB. I don't see many guys in this draft outside of Roquan Smith that played ILB who will fit the mold of what Pittsburgh does with their WILL ILB.

Trade up and get him. Roquan Smith

I highly doubt the Steelers would be willing to give up enough to make the jump from 28 to potentially the top 10 to get Roquan Smith. It'd be an out of character move for sure.

I think people expect the Steelers to go ILB or S in the first round.

Bud Dupree will has not played well enough to warrant picking up his 5th year option for the 2019 season. He'd cost about 9 million for the 2019 season if they exercise the 5th year option. In my opinion he isn't worth half of that.

I won't be surprised to see them go with an OLB with their fist pick in the 2018 draft.

We need two ILBs. We can start by signing Avery Williamson away from the Titans. He makes Vince Williams immediately redundant since he can actually tackle and play the run. He's not the best in coverage, but that's where we can rely on the draft.

Also on the free agent menu are Dion Lewis (RB Patriots) and Lamarcus Joyner (FS Rams). The latter may require a bidding war, but it's the best way to ensure our safety play is improved considering the weak safety class in this draft. Joyner is great in coverage. If we were to somehow land him and Williamson, they'd mask each other's weaknesses and we'd have a complete unit. I shouldn't have to sell anyone on Lewis, so just imagine two former Pitt Panthers sharing carries for the Steelers.

Personally I think they gave up on Coates to early. They also should have placed him on IR when he broke his hand rather than keep trotting him out there when he couldnt catch it due to the injury (not the first time they botched a players health and wont be the last im afraid)

Interesting, I was looking at their 2015 draft last week out of curiosity on who they passed on to take Dupree who is close to being a bust for a #1 pick. What a dud of a draft list. Besides Dupree, only James and Chickillo remain.

Of course it’s easy to say now but Safety L Collins was the player to take but I think he had some off the field issues coming out.

Either way is disheartening knowing whatever they do, draft or free agent signings, that at the end of the day they have double T, aka tricky leg steering the ship in the wrong direction.

Its really hard to take "off-field issues" too seriously since we are talking about college kids, but it really is a crap-shoot. If you have a discipline-rooted coach in the NFL, most of the immaturity issues will most likely dissipate anyway. Too bad Tubby would rather be friends with the players instead of being a mentor. Perhaps this is one of the biggest drawbacks of having a younger head coach. TT/Tricky Leg came in when he was in his 30s.

Does anybody have pic's of Saquon Barkley with slutty blondes? Maybe know where he drinks? Does he blog against seniors and kids?
Please help me as I'd like him to slip to the Raiders.

I still think Hargrave is smallish and all 3 DL up front got mashed and whamed by Jacksonville. Reports say Hargrave and Tuitt were dinged up.

I’m falling off the TE train and moving to RB . Bell is going to kill the cap and I don’t see him agreeing to a similar offer that his agent recommended and Bell declined in 2017.

At 28 I think the target is Rashan Evans but that is the cookie cutter response. If by some wild chance Vita Vea or Da’Ron Payne are still available that would add intrigue. I’m also wondering if a team will trade up from the top of the 2nd to jump the Giants and Browns. Adding a 4th rounder could be sweet and getting back the pick from the McDonald trade with the 49ers.

  13. I would take a look at Marcus Allen from Penn St unless Davis is a keeper

That is untrue. Bryant can't bring enough value to trade. He is more valuable as a number 2-3 receiver to us.

Gid, not to be contrary or argumentative, but I did see MB's name of "potential trade targets" in an article yesterday.
