Nucks are starting to play better, their ping pong ball chances are getting worse by the week. They will still pick in the top 8 or so, unless some curse has expired.

Flyers down 1 with under 3 min left and Jake scores a softie on Price. Go to OT, Jake at the end of his shift, scores a easier softie on Price and win. Don't know if Price gives a shit anymore. He certainly did look like he cared on those 2 goals. Flyers remain hot.

I was stopped at a red light and a streetcar stopped behind me. He was 20 feet from the bus stop and opened his doors for people to get in.
The light turned green as the last guy was getting in and I went, but was ahead.
When I got pulled over several blocks down the street, I had no idea why. One cop had a flashlight pointed to my passenger side and the other cop was talking into his radio vest.
I said to myself, they have the wrong guy here. When he walked over to my side, he looked like those 30 something smart azzes. He said, do you know why I pulled you over? No idea. He said I drove past the streetcar and it's all on video. Ok buddy, I'll see you and your partner in court.
I ordered the dvd, it took two months to arrive. When I put it in my pc all I saw was a still shot of me beside the streetcar.

I got him, he lied that he recorded everything, I called his bluff. This was sept.1st, the trial was today. I pleaded not guilty, the guy didn't show up, case withdrawn.

    :cheers::cheers:

You get two tickets here, your insurance doubles.

my older brother is a lead foot and gets ticketed all the time. he fights most of them to just pay the fine and not get points on his record or insurance. you would be shocked that 97% of the time the Philly Cop WILL SHOW UP in court. Now in your case skinny, he lied. I didn't know you can't pass a bus. A school bus - yes, not a regular transit bus. Nice work in asking for the video.

when he pulled you over, I was expecting him to say "do you know who my daughter is...?" bwhahahahaha

This is a streetcar, when they stop and open their doors, they're legally considered stop signs. I arrived at the lights before the streetcar.

I don't know how that works in philly, over here, you could plead guilty with an explanation, you get the fine reduced but still lose the points.
It's best to plead not guilty, cop doesn't show, there's no evidence and you win.

If you plead guilty with explanation, even if the cop doesn't show up, you've admitted your guilt, therefore the cop becomes insignifigant.

when do you plead guilty ? can't you tell the cop wasn't in the same room as you and the Judge ? This is in response to your last sentence above.

yeah in Philly, people just don't want the points, so they go and pay the fine or try to get it reduced.

A streetcar to me is a bus just on tracks like a trolley car.

When you first walk in, you have to show up 10 mins before trials start. There's a list of over 50 people that will be heard, most of them have a ticket attorney representing them. There's a lady the in the front and you just tell her how you want to proceed.

As far as the cop, all I remember is that he was a brown guy, and that's it. He could be in the hallways or on his way there. You have to plead not guilty, and then if he doesn't show, there's no way for them to charge you.
If you plead guilty with explanation, you get it reduced from $110 to $40, but your insurance goes up.
I still don't get how that works in philly, the courts over here have no control over your points, that's the ministry of transportation.
Over here, you could get your insurance cancelled you get two serious tickets. There's a policy called facility insurance, that could be up to $8k a year, I'm paying $1500 right now.

A street car is a trolley car, these are only in the downtown core.

    $1500 holy shit that's a lot.

a ticket of any kind results in points on your license. speeding is a huge point getter. so cop pulls you over and tickets you, your insurance is notified and boom, your rate goes up and insurance. same with a car accident. the cop calls it in and your insurance is notified and boom everything goes up. there's no middle man here - you get ticketed and insurance knows about it.

$1500 is a lot? Wow, everybody says I'm getting a deal lol, if I send a picture text of my snow tires I save another $50.
Over here, the only way the insurance finds out is if they check themselves. The mistake a lot of people make is they shop around, and then when they change to a new one, they get revealed.

I was getting killed on insurance for 3 yrs and I knew the guy. I switched to Progressive and those annoying Flo commercials. wow. I went from paying $1300 a year and now I pay $850.

and it depends on what kind of car you have etc. if it's brand new, the insurance is full tilt and more. now if you have an old junk car, the insurance is less and you wouldn't have all the premiums a new car would have covered etc.

Yes, if you decline collision, it's cheaper. $850 US is about $1100 canadian.
