Yeah, Philly is going to need to address that goalie situation for real, if they want to stay in it. Big gains over the year, so they're sitting in 3rd, but that division is so tough, they could drop out of the race altogether with just a few games.

Stolarz is 24, shit or get off the pot. These 2 can hold down the fort otherwise you’re screwed once everyone comes back and you have 3 B/B+ goalies counting against the cap and taking an extra roster spot.

 

matty - he tore his acl in october and is out all season. i wanted him to backup neuvirth bf they signed elliott. that plan died out the moment he was hurt.

Either way I think the Flyers can buy an AHL guy on the cheap and bide their time. Paying to get 3 of the same guy is a waste.

 

Not even sure how bad Neurvith's injury is either...LBI could be day-to-day. I havnt heard an update anyway... no sense to going all out panic till assesments can be made.

well the Flyers get a goalie. To the panel - is he any good? I never heard of him ?

 

Mrazek is right at that same level of goalie that Philly has had for years now. He took over the Wings starting job a couple years ago as a youngster, which was impressive at the time unseating Jimmy Howard on a strong team. Mrazek has been inconsistent since and has a reputation as a prick.
I’m sure Will can speak on him better.

Prick says it all. He can play goal tho, he's a bit up and down, but close to being better than bad. He has ok numbers on a sub-par team, but he will run his mouth. Anyway, the Fly didn't give up the bank to get him and he was bound to be moved... not fragile either. (just layed the wammy on him, lol)

hearing he's a prick doesn't bode well for him in philly. are there concrete stories of him being a prick or just hard to work with? or has someone met him in person like Dan and Tom Barrasso and know of firsthand he's a prick. haha.

^^that didn't seem bad. it was more about his worth and what he thought he was worth vs being a disruptive prick on the team.

 

Its not a good thing to point fingers at everyone but yourself. He even bashed Ken Holland. His ego is as big as the sky... I just think, because of the things ive heard over his career in Detroit, he's an idiot and I wont miss him.
