Dallas is in a bind, remember they still have to pay Zack Martin next year, (look at what Norwell is going to get) then add to that. I think Dallas does tender Irving with a 2nd and a team will offer, and Dallas won't match.

 

One other clarification might be in order... when "vet minimum" bidding opens, are we just talking about opening free agency on all remaining players (at minimum opening bids as listed in the CBA), or are we saying we're open for business on that "Veteran Minimum Benefit" rule that offers the salary cap discount for senior citizens?

 

Tim will announce when the Discounted Vet Minimum players starts. I don't know that he wants it to start with this 4th round of players or after the dust settles with that, then start it. We still have about 4 weeks until the mock draft, so we aren't in a big hurry.

 

TBH, I think that those contracts should only be available after the draft, because NFL players don't typically sign them until that sort of time (because players don't tend to want to sign for the Vet minimum and minimal guaranteed money unless they have no choice).

 

It all looked good to me except one minor typo. On the list of "won" bids, it still says Chargers are bidding on C John Sullivan...Being that it's on the right list, I don't think it matters. Chargers did sign him to $4m deal yesterday though.
