It took them 5 years to get back to the SB with Young. You got 5 years to waste on Wentz? Hostetler's SB win was 5 years later too. How weird? Don't worry about it, the Steelers will bring a couple more Lombardis to Pennsylvania in the meantime.

 

I mean Kaepernick and ditching Smith.

Now Ben didn't get injured but if he did and a backup lit it up what would you think moving on from Ben? It's essentially the same thing.

 

No Joe, Foles has one of the best QB ratings seasons ever. Plus he was great in the NFCCG and SB. Foles just might be a better fit in Peterson's system.

 

It doesn't have to be Batch. It could have been any hypothetical back up. Heck make it Foles copy and pasted to that year. Would you give up on a highly prized young prospect that has shown results like Ben to move on to Foles? I don't think many would have. That is the same scenario here with Wentz.

What if he has a bad year and then bounces back in like a star? It must be really hard to make these decisions without regretting them terribly afterwards.

 

gid - I don't care. all I wanted was 1 in my lifetime. same for the phils after they won in 08. I didn't care they lost in 09 and how they were mismanage to lose it. I had my Phils parade in 08 and Eagles in 18. Now if those bums the Flyers can win one, I can die in peace.

 

with who as your QB if Ben retires this year or next ? Josh Dobbs? Landry Jones? Haha. Gid you have a better chance at winning a SB if you were playing QB than those 2.

Unless Ben wins one, the team is getting older and with Bell possibly sitting out this summer, there's trouble in Steelersville. Stop worrying about the reigning Champs and worry about your aging QB situation and risking Bell sitting out.

 

if Bledsoe's lung wasn't collapsed on that hit from Mo Lewis, who knows when Brady sees the field. I posted this before. That hit alone changed the landscape of the Patriots and NFL forever. Lets say Lewis doesn't hit Bledsoe at all. Bledsoe is at QB as he signed a 10 yr extension. When does Brady, a 6th rd pick, EVER SEE THE FIELD? He probably doesn't see the field in their first 2 SB wins. Who knows if Drew can even lead them there ?? STOP and think about just those 2 yrs. No Brady and Bledsoe at the helm...? Wow. Maybe the Rams win back to back SBs there or the Eagles win in 2004? Or Carolina ? A lot of ifs I know, but the 1 thing for certain is - THE HALL OF FAME CAREER OF TOM BRADY looks a helluva lot different if Lewis never hits Bledsoe. I don't care where Brady was on the depth chart, he wasn't taking over for Bledsoe anytime soon since he just singed a huge extension. Maybe he's traded like Jimmy G was ?? Does Brady lead any other team to a SB ? Who knows. It all goes back to the hit from Mo Lewis !

 

A) None of us can predict the future. Especially in the NFL. Hell, we have a hard enough time trying to pick 65% of the games right leave alone the future of an NFL quarterback.

B) To have 2 QB's of this caliber on the same team is going to cause nothing but problems. You can't play them both at the same time.

C) Wentz is the future. Dump Foles for a basket full of draft picks and that future gets a little brighter.

D) Who the hell was Tom Brady at the time ????

I admit, it's a crapshoot either way. But that's the nature of the beast in the NFL !!!!
