  2. Yep cause I don't think Mayfield is worthy of a top 5 pick..good post...I have said very early Rosen 1 and Darnold 2

  3. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

BUT, you haven't given any reasons why, except that Mayfield doesn't "look" like a QB, so he isn't a top 5 pick...Oh yeah, and ONE HALF OF A FOOTBALL GAME AGAINST THE #2 DEFENSE IN THE COUNTRY, where, as you stated "He looked average"...Even though Georgia faces many other QBs this season and none of them even looked average...It was shown to you numerous times how he played well above the "average QB play against GA", yet, all you can say is watch the second half of one game and define his entire career on that....Oh yeah, and Josh Rosen is "My guy"...You did say that as well.

  4. I have given plenty of reasons...6 ft QB, hurry up offense that will not happen consistently in the NFL, Georg made adjustments vs him and he looked dazed and confused...good?

I asked you to exclude size.

Already proved that Sam Darnold ran a higher-tempo offense than Oklahoma. Guess who ran a faster-tempo offense than Sam Darnold and the USC Trojan's?

Can't believe we have to say this, but half of a game against one of the top defenses in college while executing an offense that the coach and coordinator called does not and should not inform the overall picture of a prospect.

  6. I was talking to TD.....in my eyes thats what helps me gauge prospects....if you cant do it vs the best in college your not doing it in the NFL

  7. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

    Okay.

I murdered your "up-tempo" argument. Where's the rebuttal there?

  8. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

Sam Darnold: *runs an up-tempo offense* *turns football over more than any other draft-eligible QB*

    @showstopper:

Josh Rosen: *runs an extremely up-tempo offense* *is skinny* *is moody and uncoachable*

    @showstopper:

Baker Mayfield: *is the best QB in the class* *rare QB prospect*

The lady .gif is not an accident. You're choosing your QB like a shallow girl chooses a guy.

"Girl... he's 6'3"? Lock that up!"

Mayfield cost the Sooners the game. I just watched it for the first time off the video posted here. Mayfield made a lot of piss poor throws that if he put them on the money Oklahoma scores 70 + points. The Georgia defense didn't really stop the Oklahoma offense as much as poor throws from Mayfield did. You guys keep talking about the second half but he cost them points in the first half too. Mayfield is only going to have more problems in the NFL because he is too short to see over the linemen.

Let's take it one step further Duff...great work by the way...

2017 Oklahoma Sooners starting offensive line:
    LT Orlando Brown 6' 8" 345
    LG Ben Powers 6' 4" 310
    C Erick Wren 6' 1" 310
    RG Dru Samia 6' 5" 302
    RT Bobby Evans 6' 4" 308

2018 Cleveland Browns starting offensive line:
    LT Joe Thomas 6' 6" 312
    LG Joel Bitonio 6' 4"
    C JC Tretter 6' 4"
    RG Kevin Zeitler 6' 4"
RT Shon Coleman 6' 7" (assuming)

The two lines look nearly identical

    LT Oklahoma was 2" taller
    LG Same exact height
C Cleveland will be 3" taller
    RG Oklahoma was 1" taller
RT Cleveland will be 2" taller

Who is in the dark ages that believes the college teams have 5' 11" linemen? That would be stopper and Gid...

It's about throwing lanes, not standing behind your tallest lineman and trying to throw it over his head. Too much is made of this. Some of the taller QBs in the NFL are the ones that continuously get passes batted at the line.

  19. He completed 65% though......probably 10 passes were bubble, jet sweeps or inside 3-5 yds....as far as the height....Im talking when the pocket collapses and hes surrounded by guys 5-6 inches taller...it most definitely will be a problem

  20. gidion72 Legend Steelers

I'm saying he was off target on a lot of wide open throws.
