The interesting part, for myself anyways, is how this quarterback market will affect the draft.

I'm assuming any team that signs Keenum or Foles to be the current starter will also look at arms in the draft, but the urgency will be less and other positions will rise in importance.

So far, this year is turning out to be one of the more interesting ones that I can remember for off-season movement and draft potential.

Ya it is very interesting. The FA and trade waves are going to be huge. It already started with Smith and Jimmy G set the market even though we knew he was going nowhere.

    Good stuff, guy's.

Jeff Fisher tooting his own horn probably, spinning this into, see how good I was at mentoring QB's, lol.

I agree on the Market/Draft scenario. Very interesting. The direction some teams are going to go, even tho we know what their needs are, remain a mystery. I'm digging this off-season more than any in recent memory for sure. I'm thinking the Cousins move is going to be a big factor on the Market's also.

Parody, abounds. Wont take much, if teams make the right deals and some get lucky for once, that the NFL will become a crap shoot on who's going to win on any given Sunday.

Hamilton trusts Manziel so much they just signed another QB that should stick.
Why should anyone trust a guy that asks McMahon to sign him to an XFL team 2 years before they start and is a child on Twitter?

Question comes down to "does Nick Foles want to be a starter, or is he content being a back-up on a team that looks like it could have a few more Super Bowl runs?"

He's in the last year of his contract - if he wants to be a starter, the Eagles will almost certainly have to deal him now because (other than franchising him) he'd be able to walk next year without any compensation for Philly.

^^ good points Axe. what does Nick wanna do ? Some teams need QBs and CBS had several teams in need of his services. No offense, but does he really want be a starting QB in Cleveland ? I think Denver was on the list too. A Foles trade could really help the team out with getting a solid draft pick or 2 for Foles. It will be interesting.

Denver or Minny would be high on my list; Cleveland and the Jets less so. Cleveland is at least intriguing owing to the slew of draft picks they have.

AND $111,000,000 in cap space...That will get used with John Dorsey at the GM helm now.

Minnesota ? What about Keenum or Bridgewater? I thought Cleveland was making a play for Kirk Cousins?

AND if you sign Foles, you could parley one of those top 4 picks into another bonanza by dealing with a team that wants to move up and grab Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield.

What about Keenum or Bridgewater? Either of them more attractive than Foles is now?

IF the Browns traded for Foles, I would STILL draft a QB in the 1st four picks.

Trading down got us 1-31 over the past two seasons!

how is Bridgewater more attractive coming off his knee surgery? And head to head - Foles whooped Minnesota and Keenum didn't do much, so why is his stock so high?

Axe-you say now. Foles was the Super Bowl MVP 9 days ago. How is his stock low compared to these guys? Wouldn't be sky high right now after being the SB MVP and out dueling Brady ?

Wouldn't this be a trade and not a signing? I'm sure Philly would want a high pick for him. Not a top 10 pick, but something high.

I wouldn't take Mayfield. Something about his screams "Heisman bust!" He's like a glorified Manziel or Brady Quinn. Pass !

Even taking away the playoffs this season Foles has outperformed both Bridgewater and Keenum in his career. Better TD/INT ratio. Bridgewater has the highest completion percentage of the three but his only noteworthy accomplishment to date is getting hurt.

Maybe. But the dude can flat out play!

Plus he relishes the underdog role. He walked on TWICE in college and won the starting job both times.

Philadelphia would be crazy to dump Foles. Without Foles Philadelphia doesn't win that SB. Their defense didn't do shit to win that game. A lot of really good QBs have never won a SB. Marino, Fouts, Rivers, Kelly, Moon. All of these guys are HOF, or will be. The Eagles are really shooting them selves in the foot if they get rid of Foles. Only the 49ers have won a SB with another QB on their roster that would win a SB as their starter in a different season.
    Good luck with that!

Gid-Philly is in a great spot here. They hold the cards with Foles. Trade him for assets and reap the rewards. Or hold him and know if Wentz's knee doesn't hold up, you have a SB MVP waiting to take over vs an unknown backup QB. Unless they are blown away on offers, I would hold onto him. I for one am very leery on Wentz's rebuild knee. It was 2 tears and not 1 and I just think his running, rambling, shucking days at QB are over. He won't be the same player as he once was. That scares me. It's nice knowing you can count on Foles if Wentz goes down again.
