Will, I am a big Rodney fan as well. Everyone loves Caddyshack, but Easy Money is equally as funny and he's the lead, so he carried the movie. He was awesome. And helped a ton of struggling comedians get their start. Jerry Seinfeld said "Rodney was the best improv comedian of all-time and the most generous."

Strong team, they're in the playoffs right now. They've quietly built themselves around up and coming players like aho , TTeravainen and hanafin, while keeping vets like staal, ward and faulk.

Crazy thing I just heard on the radio this morning. If Weber ends up retiring with term left, the preds are on the hook for the whole $7.8M against their cap.

Really? So the signing team is on the hook.

Flyers go into Vegas and whooped the first place team 4-1. The arena looked really nice. Flyers have won 4 straight after losing 4 straight. Are the second team with the most double digit goal scorers.

Their getting it going, Cat. Have a little faith! Cheer them on, lol. Enjoy the ride as some of us can only dream of a playoff spot.

Good races heating up for the final playoff positions... I like this part of the seasons stretch. Its really interesting every night with big games.

I doubt that's the case all the time, this was a clause written in the deal. The preds are worried about this, the deal ends when he's 40.

Will - come on man. So the Red Wings are down now. I don't feel sorry for any Red Wings fans with their what 4 or 5 Cups since 1996 ? Sorry, but I've been waiting for a Cup since 1975 when I was 4 yrs old. Your Wings woes get zilch from me. lol. Hell, I just celebrated the EAGLES Super Bowl and some Philly fans were waiting since 1960 for another title. lol.

I guess I have to come to accept this version of the NHL. I mean they are speaking about Travis Konecny and his 13 goals like he's the next coming of anyone good. That's the league now. Forget the 100 pt scorers of the 80's and accept a 40 goal scorer as top dog. My nemesis Couts punched in #28 last night. And Jake and G are in the top 5 in either assists or points. They are getting better. :rally:

lol, didn't expect or ask for any sympathy. Just sayin, no matter the past, its not much fun not playing into the Spring. Red Wings are further away than some may think or have calculated, in my opinion.

Anyway... enjoy your Flyers. They are alive and the games ive seen and ive seen a few, they are exciting to watch.

THE WINGS will be back. I don't doubt that. They rose from the ashes of the 80's to be a dynasty in the late 90's and 2000's.

my only hope now is that Weber keeps playing and that he'll be terrible in a few years.

If a player retires early then the NHL will punish the original signing team for having it be too long because they tried to circumvent the cap for average annual salary.

The Preds better hope they at least win a cup to make it all worthwhile. They'll be paying weber and pk at the same time.

    1. Imagine paying an old P.K. and retired Weber something like $16/year. And Nashville doesn’t have a real loose wallet. They’re obviously banking on him playing this thing out.

His last three years are only worth $1M/per to him, so there's a good chance he could walk.

Which is why Nashville would be punished.

They overpaid him $6.2M a year for the first four years, he'll already have his money in a couple of years.
