As you should have been. When compared to Tannehill, McGown and Taylor (and whoever their backups were) - its like saying you have the tallest two midgets in the circus.
Well that wasnt exactly an out on the limb statement considering the division. Heck some of those teams didnt even have 1 QB.
No doubt Like I said saying the Pats had the best two QB in the division isnt hard when the rest of the division has no qb to start with. Now had he said the best 2 QBs in the league that would have been a statement. A wrong one but a statement non the less
Chiefs release Darrelle Revis Cornerback Darrelle Revis is a free agent once more. The NFL’s daily transaction wire brings word that the Chiefs have released the veteran cornerback. Revis signed with the Chiefs late in the regular season and had a contract for 2018 that called for him to make an $8.8 million roster bonus and $10 million in guaranteed money overall if he was on the roster at the start of the 2018 league year. Revis played five games for the Chiefs in the regular season and made 11 tackles. He also played in their playoff loss to the Titans and batted a Marcus Mariota pass back to the Titans quarterback that wound up as a touchdown when Mariota advanced into the end zone. Revis said last month that he wants to continue playing, but didn’t show much more than he did during a rough 2016 season with the Jets. That could leave this as the end of the line for a player who spent several years in his first Jets stint as one of the top defensive players in the game. (PFT)
Vikings hired Eagles QBs coach John DeFilippo as offensive coordinator. It's a coup for the Vikings, as DeFilippo had reportedly been "leaning toward" staying in Philadelphia after being passed over for the Bears and Cardinals' head-coaching vacancies. On the rise since a well-regarded showing as the Browns' offensive coordinator in 2015, DeFilippo has earned raves for his work with Carson Wentz. DeFilippo is inheriting excellent talent at running back and receiver, but doesn't yet know which quarterback he will be coaching in 2018. It stands to reason DeFilippo will employ some of the play-calling optimization techniques he learned under Doug Pederson in Philly.
Report: Brady will skip OTAs unless he gets paid like Jimmy G The GOAT wants to get paid accordingly. Reportedly. Ron Borges of the Boston Herald reports that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has decided to get compensated in a way that he never really has. Citing unnamed “sources close to” Brady, he is “ready to sit out all of this year’s offseason organized team activities unless he receives a contract extension that carries with it up-front money similar to what his former protege, Jimmy Garoppolo, will receive from the San Francisco 49ers.” Her's the full article... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...l-skip-otas-unless-he-gets-paid-like-jimmy-g/ ___________ ___________________________ That's funny... I was waiting for something like this. TB doesn't need no stinkin' OTA's anyway, but he might be jealous, lol.
New coach Matt Patricia said OC Jim Bob Cooter will remain with the Lions. This has been the expectation all along, though Patricia did seem to leave the door open a bit for Cooter to be reassigned, simply saying Cooter will be on the staff, not necessarily as OC. But for now, the assumption is Cooter will continue to run the offense. It's a smart move after all his work with Matthew Stafford. Cooter now needs to work on finding some semblance of a run game. ____________ ________________________ Ha Ha, He said, Cooter!
that Brady article is great for one reason only- Ron Borges got duped and has to deal with it. A Pats fan was pretending to be Don Yee after Borges gave his # out a few years ago. Borges bought in hook, line and sinker.
I wrote this on 10/18/16, to opposition. Also wrote that the Patriots had another NFL MVP at QB waiting in the wings, time will tell but I think I was half right on that as well. I dont remember anyone else agreeing with those sentiments at the time.
The Borges article is already down, a retraction and apology sure to follow. I question whether this false narrative of an upset Brady will continue to live on in the minds of fans and media the way the Jon Tomassi piece about filming practices has. Retracted and apologized for without any evidence whatsoever yet popular opinion seems to be that the Patriots film practices.
that's him on Broad Street near Broad and Packer Ave. he was chugging champagne and beers the entire way up Broad Street. See the girl in red - count 4 heads straight in front of her and that's Kelce in the green costume with his arm raised.
