    Hey guys,

Is there a listing somewhere of the critical dates for this sim? When FA starts, draft day, etc.

    Thanks,

The official start date will be on the 6th of February and Thursday of this week we will be emailing and messaging a schedule to follow.

Random musing... in last year's mock offseason, I traded a draft pick for a QB coach. I still consider it the single most important move that I made throughout the simulation, now more than ever.

The real Falcons QB coach (who had zero NFL experience) left after the end of the season to go back to the NCAA. Hmmm....

We should have an email out today with all the rules and updates for 2018. They may not arrive until tomorrow morning if it's late.

There are a couple of issues I have to clear up on some of the first spreadsheets that I put up, but the general information needed to get things started should be available.

If you have any questions be sure to post them and we will get the answers for you as quickly as possible

All you need to do is make a post with either the team name or with an image/logo and I will edit in your spreadsheet and you will receive an email from google sheets that will include an invite to edit.

Tim, would it be possible for you to resend the email for my spreadsheet? I seem to have deleted it...

  10. For the spread sheet, will you automatitcally update it or is that on me?

For example, trading Phillips and James today free'd up about 11 million in cap space, and I restructure Pouncey to add another 3 million. I also cut Lawrence Timmons and Julius Thomas for another ~10 million.

Did you receive an invite in your email to edit your spreadsheet?

Look for an invite for google spreadsheets and follow the instructions so you can start to edit.

When we edit our sheets, do you edit that to the team salary page on this site?

I'm trying to follow, but I'm confused as to what exactly you're asking.

All apologies, but I'm still in a bit of a blur.

If I understand you correctly you are asking if when you edit your rosters it automatically updates the 1st tab on the shared sheet showing total salary, top 51 salary, cap space, etc. The answer to that question is no, there are no formulas in the google spreadsheet as is. If you know how to use Microsoft Excel you can enter them yourself. Google sheets is based on Microsoft Excel. If you don't know how I'd be happy to help.

The 2018 Team Roster and Salary Cap page. Do managers update that page, or is it just staff? When the managers update their google sheets.

  16. When you update your google sheet that you were invited to, the spreadsheet on that topic is automatically updated. For example, I just finished updating mine through the invite I got. If you look, my number is VASTLY different than Spotrac or OTC's numbers.

So it automatically updates, good to know.

It updates anything you type but there are no formulas. So you can add 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, etc. and the first page that is visible when you open up that thread (which is the first tab on the spreadsheet) will not change. That 1st page will need to be updated by you as well - so you'll have to keep track of how everything you do changes your salary and cap numbers.

I believe I am well under the cap now at around $20M with the 3 restructures and the Torrey Smith release. Max restructures are risky and the team is likely to do it with more players at less money each but we are only allowed 3 and the 3 I picked are pretty safe to be on the team.
