LOL. You know what I meant. He played like the Tom Brady we are used to making the touch throws.

His only really bad throw was under-throwing Jeffery putting him in the position for the INT. Yes Alshon could have caught it and yes he did also directly bat it to the defender after dropping it but if Foles makes that throw a few yards deeper then Jeffery gets to at least the 5 and maybe a TD if Harmon doesn't tackle him. Foles was responsible for the INT almost a much as Jeffery.

made a lot of tough throws in very small windows to make a catch. the 1 to agholor for a key first down was a tight window. the one to ertz in the 4th qtr to keep the winning drive alive was a tight window. after the Oakland game - people thought Foles really stunk. After the Dallas game - they wanted him out of town. After Atlanta they were willing to donate their ACLs to Carson Wentz and praying he would come back. Versus Minnesota he played like Brady and beat the Vikings back to the Viking age and made Leif Ericson kiss his ass. Versus NE, he played smart, not too flashy and made a lot of tough and key passes a young Brady made time and time again in regular, playoff and Super Bowl games. His 373 weren't long plays - just smart out routes and over the middle routes. he did what it took to win. he didn't need to throw for 505. he needed to play smart and he did God willing for Philadelphia.

and Matty - I hate and loathe Brady due to his success. I posted he could've been co-MVP on the Super Bowl thread and I think he's not just the best QB ever, but the greatest NFL PLayer ever. Better than Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Peyton Manning and everyone else. He may not have had a Heisman winning college career or went #1 in the draft, but he made the most of Drew Bledsoe getting hurt and himself thrown into the starting role. He's the greatest ever and should be exempted from the waiting time for Canton. The NFL should pull a NHL with Gretzky and just let him in. No keys or ID needed. Same for Belichick.

I’d say they were both clearly strong.
Brady wasn’t the absolute best that he could possibly be but throwing for the most yards in SB history with 0 picks is pretty damn impressive....... even more so taking in to account the “weapons” he had.

And Foles made the throws he needed to and was impressive doing so. Seemed like 3 and long a lot and he always got it done picking on not-Gilmore.

Honestly I think the weapons he had may have been the best for him. Well outside Dorsett, he wasn't anything. They are very good at getting open in coverage, especially on medium and short plays and they then the YAC. I know our coverage was historically bad but without Amendola and Hogan and co I wonder if targets would have been open so quickly before the 4-man rush got to Brady. Like I said though it wasn't his fault he didn't have to make the difficult throws most of the game, especially the 1st half.

the fact that Brady and NE have 5 Super Bowl wins with WRs Troy Brown, Amendola, Welker, Gronk and others and not when he had a NFL record 25 td passes to new HOF'er Randy Moss is ironic. Imagine if Brady had Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne like Peyton Manning did?

I don't really pay attention to this type of news, although I know enough about it, because it's in the news everyday.

He had a similar year with Moss. But honestly New England's offense is different. They'd still be successful, maybe better, but the system is a big reason for the success as well. More isn't always better.

all true. Moss did his part that year. it was the david tyree catch that ruined their undefeated season.

Karlsson in vegas has a goal, Carlson for the caps scored too, so I look to see if there could be a karlsson hatrick in ottawa, nope, just an assist.

Tuuka and company do it again... amazing. I didn't see this coming after all the problems of last season, especially on the back-end. Man, was I wrong. Bruins with only 11 loses on the season too. I was thinking Gallant wins the Adams hands down, but Bruce Cassidy has earned my respect.

    That's the final too.

I don't know if you got to see it, but they did a video tribute at the first stoppage. After the video the chants of "Fluery" were so loud and it kept getting louder and the ovation went on forever. It went on so long that the refs finally just dropped the puck. Fleury was crying his eyes out and I have no idea out he could see the puck immediately after. It was impressive.
