Isn't that always the case, good performance by qb=bad defensive coverage.

505 yards is nothing to sneeze at, not even jeff george could've pulled that off.

 

It was a great performance by his WRs maybe. I was watching from my team's perspective. I see the 4 mant rush getting some pressure but before they can finish him off a throw is off and most of them were to guys that were 5 or more yards open. Now you can't knock Brady for that but when he was pressured, or had to make a tougher throw that wasn't to Gronk, a couple passes could have easily been picked and others were way off target. He wasn't picking the D off or anything outside the Gronk throws. That was Foles. Foles was the best player regardless of result.

 

I'm not taking anything away from Foles, he played a good game. It was a quiet 505 yards for brady, but also, you can't get over 500 yards just on short passes. Gronk was on his game, but those passes were perfectly placed. It's just that fans have come to accept it that he'll throw the perfect pass every time and overlook the talent involved, it's just taken for granted.

Elway won a SB at 38 and looked washed up doing it, I have to say that the NE defense also let the team down.

 

Preds and Isles rematch tonight... this might be fun.

lol, Brady throws for 500, 3/0 with only 3 healthy receivers(including Dorsett) and a TE that was completely missing in the first half.
the Pats D put on one of the worst SB performances in history. Eagles D not far behind that.

 

I thought Brady was outstanding aside from dropping a catch which showed his is actually human. He put up all those yards against a really good defense even though it didn't look like it. What more could you ask from a QB?
Foles was pretty darn good too but NE's defense isn't nearly as good as Phillys. Give Big Dick Nick as he is known in Philly his due. He played the game of his life.

 

Check out some of the celebrations in Philly. I'm surprised things didn't get more crazy to be honest. The guy doing the "trust fall" from the awning has to be the dumbest celebration ever. I'm pretty sure no one caught him.

I'm not knocking people Cat just not sure if I would. In retrospect I have been pretty fortunate as a sports fan. When I started watching sports in the 70's I saw the Steelers win SBs in 75,76,79 and 80. Pitt won National championship in 76 and the Pirates won the World Series in 79. Maybe if all that didnt happen and I experienced it now maybe I would cry. Anyways congrats. My wife and inlaws are Philly fans as well as a lot of friends so I am happy for you all.

the 1 year Jeff George was somewhat sane and didn't fight his teammates, he led me to a 12-1 regular season in Fantasy Football and a 14-1 record overall. It was the greatest single season I ever had in FFB. I started 10-0 and then lost to a team I played again in the Final. I got my revenge on him and the Title. Jeff coasted to MVP honors that year for me.

 

Manning won his second SB and couldn't throw a pass 30 yards. I don't recall Elway looking that bad. He sure didn't the year before.

Like Joe said, the passes to Hogan and Amendola were when the EAgles def was taking a coffee break. The 1 play early was the worst. 3rd and 10 for NE. 20 yrd Pass to Amendola and there wasn't an Eagle player close to him by 10 yards! He ran for another 10. He was wide open. It was 3rd and ten there. Hogan was open left and right. Anyone could've thrown to them. I was shocked Brady has some duck throws in the first quarter though. Some wobbly throws you never see from him.
