Great post. As for religion being brought up, I didn't bring it up. I brought morality up. I didn't attack atheists. It was the moral code lacking to a large extent in Hollywood that got brought up in this conversation. BWW doesn't believe in God. Fine. Billions of people do believe in God and do not need BWW's mockery. He lied about my somehow saying that non-believers are immoral people. That never happened. But when I and others get ridiculed on this board for believing in God and the moral code accepted by Christians and other faiths, I claim the right to defend myself and my belief in God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. For that, both BWW and baby call me a hypocrite and not Christian at all.

Once again, I have heard from of all people, BWW whining about trying to get the original issue "back on track" when actually it was he and baby who ran things off of the rail themselves. Morality or the lack of it is a big time issue in Hollywood. It has been that way for decades. The predatory behavior of people of both sexes in Hollywood is no surprise and the products of Hollywood are littered with examples where sleeping around is glorified, sexual misconduct is accepted behavior and even bragged about. It sure as hell doesn't surprise me that the Weinsteins existed. IT is also no surprise to me that the Streeps and Clintons of the world were complicit in all of it. Their denial that they didn't "know" about any of it is total crap. So these folks can wear all of the black dresses that they want to, carry all of the MeToo signs that they want to, but the majority of them had the money and power to do something about it and DIDN'T STAND UP and be accounted for. And for them to feign innocence or moral high ground is a farce. Streep and Clinton and their ilk are just liars trying to fool people. Streep is an actress and is used to "ACTING" and being PAID for it. Clinton is an "actress" also and also acted her own way to becoming a multi-millionaire by fooling people by donating to her phony foundations and political action fund-raising.

Hey man. I agree with everything that you have said. I give a shit what BWW believes or doesn't believe. I just do not accept being mocked for believing in God and to be singled out for being one.

    So that's it.

Jean, this was an interesting and important thread and topic, and I really enjoyed the thoughtful discussions and ideas that it provoked.

Unfortunately it's been taken too far off it's rails and I don't know if it's redeemable. Thanks for your efforts :)

Wow. Another self-serving post by this guy. It is YOU who attacks religion and touts Atheism as his religion. You've equated God to cartoon characters like Bug Bunny. And now you run and hide behind your stupid "I have the right to my atheism" whining. Hey, dumb shit, no one brought any religion up in this debate. We were talking about the MeToo movement and the moral issues both in Hollywood and the workplace. We weren't debating any religion whatsoever until you and baby jumped in and derailed the thread when the moral or rather immoral aspect of Hollywood got brought up.

As for your assessment of the history of the United States, you are completely bat shit crazy on this one also. The founding of this country by the founding fathers was heavily influenced by Judeo-Christian beliefs and especially the 10 Commandments. Once again, you cry like a little baby about your atheism not being given enough credence somehow. Poor whittle BWW. You claim that God isn't playing an active role in this world. I guess all of the hundreds of millions of Muslims who worship Allah and the hundreds of millions of Hindus and Buddists don't have a huge say so in the governance of the countries that they live in for starters? What a stupid statement for even you to make.

So morality, in your estimation, has nothing to do with what happened in Hollywood and to the victims there? Is not rape immoral? Is sexual abuse of minors, not immoral? Is not sexual discrimination not immoral? Is denying someone a job because of their refusal to have sex with him or her, not immoral? Tell the truth. If Hollywood hasn't been proven to have let an immoral atmosphere run rampant in their lair, then what did happen. Seriously, I have not a clue about what you find offensive in what I have stated and how it is not considered by you and others like Baby and BWW to be relevant. Explain yourself.

I guess that I have no notion of where you are coming from in regard to you having a problem in what I have stated. Let me be clear. I HATE sexual abuse of any kind. I hate racism of any kind. I care less what damn religion or non-religion people hold dear to them. I also do not like people who refuse to take action against predators or help victims of abuse and the hypocrites who lie about not knowing these things were occurring. I have stated that each case needs to be handled individually and somehow this became a mischaracterization by baby as my attacking all of freeking Hollywood and then i am not really a Christian to "believe' this.

I am a realist and blunt. Most on this board are not and hate me for the way I think and talk. But I am also honest to a fault and that also gets me in quite a bit of trouble also(just ask my wife). I just also hate phonies like several on this board certainly are. ANd clearly a huge number of people in Hollywood also are. Most of Hollywood and politicians also are phonies. That is what I believe.

What took it "off of the rails" and what in your opinion is maybe not "redeemable" ? Explain yourself. You decided to call religious people hypocrites and call me unChristian. Own it. You have the self centered idea that somehow you have the moral high ground here. I don't think so. Anyone who defends the crap BWW does on this board and admires it has no high ground or say so in anything. You enable him and others to attack conservative minded and Christian believing people or a regular basis and when challenged retreat into an attack on the moral fiber of people who you just disagree with.

Just looking for an updated stat sheet on who is bad. Dogma and religion not included.

That’s a spreadsheet that would take a lot of work.

It’s almost easier to point out Hollywood actors or executives that haven’t been accused of something at this point.

Still awaiting an answer as to whether morality is an allowable issue on this thread or not. And if it is not, then WHY do the "powers to be" deem it such.

What constitutes a survivor ? Taylor Swift sued a guy who grabbed her ass. She made the cover of a magazine for #METOO. Was she violated ? Absolutely. But did she suffer in the same pain an anguish as a rape victim or someone forced into a sexual act against their wishes ? I don't believe so.

I guess that everyone reacts to trauma differently. There's actually an article about me too in my most recent yoga journal. I was really surprised reading it to learn how some people look at the different levels of trauma that sexual abuse can trigger.

And just think BWW when you had battles with me last week and thought I was a little nuts. haha. I'm tame compared to the last 5 pages of this thread.

I think the real victims should've been on that Vanity Fair cover and not Taylor Swift. Sorry but grabbing your ass is not even close to rape in my book. If she wants to plead sexual assault and played the traumatized card, that's on her. To me there are levels of trauma and sexual assault.

I don't believe anyone mentioned that morality doesn't belong in this thread Al. If you look closely, it WAS said that religion didn't belong in this thread.

I think you'd be surprised at how few victims of sexual abuse are looking for a platform to speak from.

Here's a question for you Cat, and I'm not criticizing your point of view here about the levels of sexual abuse; as in which are more relevant than others. How do you think you'd feel if someone (male or female) grabbed you by the butt or grabbed your privates or ... fondled your chest? Which of these would constitute the most embarrassing and traumatizing action for you?

I haven't answered this post or many others like it because:

    1. You are reading things into what I said which I did not say. Many others here have the same complaint about you. You cannot assume to know what anyone is saying or thinking if you intersperse those comments with your own ideas or prejudices. It simply doesn't work that way. This is reading comprehension 101.

    2. At no point have I ever called you unchristian or religious people hypocrite. If you have evidence of my doing so please present it otherwise your post is complete and utter bull.

    3. If you can't interact on this board without feeling persecuted or attacked by me ... then you have a problem. If you don't like my opinions, that's okay, you have the right to disagree with me. What you DON'T have the right to do is to try and put words in my mouth. I'm a good enough writer that I really don't feel I need anyone's help in that respect.

    4. Your shtick about me protecting Bww is old and lame and you need to find something different and actually true to talk about instead of it. Of all the members on this board he is the last one who would need my protection. Seriously, it's a message board, that's it. It's a great message board until we get bogged down with the usual garbage here.

And lastly Al ... do me the favour of just sticking to the topic and not dragging my name or Bww's name into each one of your posts. I doubt that there is a single member here who is interested in any of it. You can raise some good and strong points when you stick to the topic. I would applaud your energies directed in that direction :)

Its not the REAL victims that I question. But I do honestly question how many of the #MeToo posters have actually been subjected to sexual harrassment/abuse versus how many are posting simply because they are a woman and are trying to keep this cause front and center. That's what I meant by my earlier "squeeky wheel syndrome" comment.
