Who knows...I just don't see the benefit of keep bringing in guys...u have an owner, president, GM and Asst GM, PP guy....that's plenty
You forgot the homeless guy. All of which were in place for all those drafts you say the Browns fucked up.
Different people and I thought Manziel was the right guy but he allowed outside interference take over for him
Going to be tough being @showstopper around here on April 27th. W e r e t a k i n g B a k e r M a y f i e l d a t # 1 o v e r a l l
Believe me it wont be tough....not a big deal but if they do select Mayfield, it will show how inept they really are
IF Mayfield isn't drafted by the Browns . . . Its going to be tough on all of us as I'm positive that SAS will launch yet another hashtag crusade: #firejohndorsey #bakermayfieldnumber1 #firehue
John Dorsey: preferred QB is Baker Mayfield Scot McCloughan: preferred QB is Baker Mayfield Yep... sure they won't see eye-to-eye on that one.
This is 50/50 tongue-in-cheek and dead serious. Imagine collecting a wealth of NFL talent evaluators - the best not only in Browns reboot history but also across the entire NFL currently, sitting there with the #1 overall pick... ... and the F/O takes someone like Sam Darnold or Josh Allen. *IF* the Browns don't draft Baker Mayfield #1 overall, it'll be because they decided to go "all-in" on a veteran QB (Cousins, Foles, etc.).
I've literally posted dozens of quotes throughout these boards showing Dorsey's preference for Mayfield. The fact he scouted him "probably 5 or 6 times" during 2017 when he was unemployed by an NFL team should tell you all you need to know about him. He went to Oklahoma games just to watch Mayfield.
You must have your heart broken a lot....not one mock draft has the Browns taking Mayfield but you keep setting yourself up just like you did w Kessler...its time to let it go he isnt going #1
I forgot how mock drafts in January/February were indicative of what was going to happen in April. I remember how the 2016 February mock draft worked out... 1. Tennessee Titans: Joey Bosa, DE 2. Cleveland Browns: Jared Goff, QB 3. San Diego Chargers: Laremy Tunsil, OT 4. Dallas Cowboys: Jalen Ramsey, CB 5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mackensie Alexander, CB 6. Baltimore Ravens: Ronnie Staley, OT (HEY! This one actually happened) 7. San Francisco 49ers: Laquon Treadwell, WR 8. Miami Dolphins: Vernon Hargreaves, CB 9. DeForest Buckner, DL 10. New York Giants: Myles Jack, LB #NailedIt
2017 is the only year I can remember in a decade where the #1 overall pick was "locked". Over 98% of all mock drafts had Myles Garrett as the pick. The closest was probably 2012 when Luck was the pick - and that's been a pretty poor choice in retrospect.
