Where Do We Go From Here?

  1. I need to study Hughes and I feel Michel will go ahead of Tate for sure

I'll put it as top 22. If he is there somehow I don't see Buffalo not taking him if they haven't gotten an answer already. Plus teams may be trying to trade up and have no takers until Buffalo is there and willing to give up 1 pick.

  4. I can't believe people think L Jackson is a 1st round pick....his accuracy is really bad and he's worse than RG3

Christian Ponder, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert and E.J. Manuel all make a strong argument for passers being severely overvalued in the draft, but Jackson's intangibles are said to have more than one franchise thinking about taking a shot on him, and doing it earlier than what many expect.

  6. Well as you know I'm a huge FSU fan and I wouldn't have considered EJ in the 1st 2 rounds...Ponder I thought was better so probably middle to end of 2nd round

He is average because he has average arm talent and plays what is widely known as the most QB friendly offense around.

Alex Smith is an upgrade in DC.

One of the best QBs in the NFL? If you really believe that I can never take your ability to evaluate the QB position seriously ever again. I'm gonna just assume you're caught up in the moment.

I think he might be a little better than average, but I do have concerns. My main concern is that he will cost too much, and Dorsey's reputation with cap mgmt isn't the greatest. I'd hate to drastically overpay and have it come back to bite us down the road...I heard some talking head mention this on the radio and it's also a concern of mine: Can anybody remember Cousins playing BIG in a big game? It just seems like the bigger the game, The bigger the match-up, the more average he becomes. And then you see him just destroy the weaker teams. He just lights up teams that he should....I wish he had a better reputation in big games. In that aspect, Cousins does remind me of Andy Daulton...

and, I do agree that Alex Smith is an upgrade for Washington...

They used the Fan Speak Mock Draft Simulator, which has some advantages but also limitations. Hughes is an R1 guy and Michel should be high R2. Tate looked about right to me - potential is there but needs the polish.

^^^ That said. As a die-hard Browns fan. I'm not complaining at all if my team wants to go after Kirk Cousins. He would give us legitimacy, and we don't know that any of the rookies would or not. The more thought I give it, the more torn I become. That's why I was so bummed when the Smith deal was announced. I liked that idea SO much better...Cousins is my plan B, but it's a distant one, and I think plan C is gaining steam. lol!

I do believe, in the Browns' situation sitting there with the #1 pick, it's a tough decision whether or not to go all in on Cousins...I'm happy if they do, and I'm not crying if they don't.

Lamar Jackson career comp. %: 57.0
Josh Rosen career comp. %: 60.9
    DeShone Kizer career comp.%: 60.7

    Jackson (2017) adjusted comp. %: 74.4
    Rosen (2017) adjusted comp.%: 73.1

Jackson had an 8.5% drop rate from his receivers. Rosen's was 7.5%. (And Mayfield's was 8.0% - adjusted comp. 82.6).

    Plans A - W: Baker Mayfield
    Plan X: Tyrod Taylor
    Plan Y: Kirk Cousins
Plan Z: Roll with Kizer and buy stock in Clorox Bleach

  18. I get the comp% but I also watch games since he was in the ACC and some of his throws were so inaccurate I couldn't believe he was playing at Lville...I just don't see him making an impact at the next level

You don't foresee a team who can coach him up on mechanics and improve his accuracy?

As silly as it may sound, Rosen's sound fundamentals and mechanics - nearly NFL-caliber - might be a bad thing. He's a career 60.9 passer with excellent footwork, mechanics, and arm strength. I doubt very seriously that his accuracy improves at the next level and 60-ish percent does not cut it in today's game. The minimum is 63-percent and the elite players are 65+.
