Schneider (6-5, 304) is officially in his first NFL season out of UC-Davis. He participated in rookie minicamp with the Packers last season. Schneider was a four-year starter at right tackle for the Aggies. Woohoo......Go Aggies!!! Spent my first 2 years of college at UC-Davis before moving back to Ohio and finishing at tOSU. About the only pro to come out of UCD and make it in the NFL was QB Ken O'Brien.
I agree SAS...If we can't land captain Kirk, it's certainly not the end of the world. For all we know right now, the best thing that could happen to the organization might be to miss out on Kirk Cousins....Time will tell I do believe there is something special about Baker Mayfield..
I think the Bills are going to try and move ahead of the Cardinals to either select Allen or Mayfield, whichever one may be left on the board (I'm leaning Mayfield). Their pick from the Chiefs and their second along with a third in 2019 to move up to the Redskins spot would probably get it done. Washington would recover their third by adding a second, still be in position in the first to snag a highly rated corner and add a future third as a kicker. I also think that Lamar Jackson may be in play a lot earlier than a lot of people are projecting right now.
He's basically Drew Brees with the personality of Brett Favre. Imagine passing him up because he's 6003.
Incoming hot take (not mine): **Worth noting this tweet was "liked" (@Lyman that means a twoter found it interesting/enjoyable/amusing) by Allen Robinson, pending free agent WR of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lamar Jackson is the one that said he'd be willing to run WR drills at the combine....I haven't heard any plans for Allen to mix it up with the TE's.
Gotta love the competitiveness. Truthfully, just like Mayfield... imagine a QB with the skillset of Jackson: Improved every season Average accuracy, adjusted comp. of 73.1% due to receiver drops Elite agility/accuracy and a run threat 4.2 - 4.3 speed And thinking all of that's a bad thing and he's a wide receiver at the next level. Pick #1 (CLE) should be Baker Mayfield and pick #2 (NYG) should be Lamar Jackson -- and neither of those teams should hesitate to turn their cards in.
I think 5 is the over/under on quarterbacks taken in the first round. 6 wouldn't surprise me and I think 4 is a lock.
Definitely agree. My world: 1 (CLE): Baker Mayfield 2 (NYG): Sam Darnold 6 (NYJ): Josh Rosen 15 (ARI): Josh Allen 21 (BUF): Lamar Jackson 28 (PIT): Mason Rudolph And if Pittsburgh doesn't take Ben's heir-apparent, Jackson (#29) will.
^^^ I assume Cousins to Denver. Don't count out the Chargers in the QB hunt. Rivers is up there, and he's mentioned retirement before, same as Ben...Plus all they have behind him right now is UFA Kellen Clemmons and Cardale Jones...
Yep, Cousins to Denver. Lamar Jackson to Los Angeles Chargers (#17) makes a lot of sense too, I think. Depends on how they feel about Rivers. He hasn't shown any decline yet and, unlike Ben, doesn't play the "will-he, won't-he" retirement game.
If I'm putting Jackson up in the first round, I'm considering Cincinnati as one of the higher chances for him to get selected. Combination 'gut feeling' and the idea that Dalton can remain the starter if need be for another two seasons and McCarron can be officially kicked to the curb.
