It's a little colder today here.

Am I allowed to say that it's cold on Jan.30 in canada without a climate change denier jumping out of his seat.

I had a day off today, so I went to the mall, grabbed a coffee at tims and sat down in the food court.

Then right in front of me, I hear a young female security guard yelling at someone for leaving their backpack at a table and running off. The guy came back to the table, picked up the bag and walked away. I looked at the girl and said, "terrorist, you never know", then she chased after him. I'm still sitting here, so, not sure what happened.

I haven't been to a mall in years. I shop online for mostly everything I own and need except food. although you can shop for food online at the big chain stores and it doesn't cost much either. my friend and his wife does that. to me that's just fucking plain laziness. they're not that busy to food shop.

I have everything around me including an underground shopping mall that's 30 kms long.

I would get claustrophobic in that. everything I need is online. online stores never close, have free shipping and no parking issues. haha.

Yes, it works good if you're in the burbs.

I wasn't always claustrophobic. an MRI brought it on. I just don't do malls anymore skinny. the parking nonsense and crowds and lines. I did it as a kid and loved going to the mall. now I'm old, grumpy, curmudgeon and lazy and I shop online. haha.

It's funny because if you go to the malls monday to friday 10 am to 4 pm, it's all old retired people. They like to go especially in the winter for their daily walks and meet up with friends for lunch or coffee at the food court.

They go in the summer when there's heat waves for the AC as well.

I've been going to those malls for over 30 years. Interesting to see the demographic changes in the older malls.

The 1 mall I liked back home got rid of all the stores I liked, so I stopped going there. once online shopping took over, I shopped online. near me is the famed King of Prussia Mall. there are at least 15 roads into the place, crowded as hell and most of the stores are super high end, which I can't afford. Yet, at Christmas time, it's flooded with people. Their restaurants have lines out the door and their IMAX movie theater and their $16-18 dollar tickets are always sold out. I don't get that madness at all. I'm just getting old fast.

I think a lot of people go to malls out of habit just to get out of the house. It's one of the only public places that's free besides a park, where you're not pressured to pull out your wallet.

A lot of people go to malls with no intention of making a purchase besides a small lunch or coffee. It's more of a meeting place or a place to just get out and be around people.

I had a friend that was a manager of a shoe store. He got tired of all the people going in there to try on shoes out of complete boredom. They didn't have a job or any money to buy the shoes.

Three mainstay elements at any mall are seniors and unemployed/disabled folks.

Also teens and pre-teens on the weekends and at night. Also a popular place for high school students to skip out on classes.

when I was a teenager, we went to the mall bc it had an awesome arcade in it and a old 2 screen movie theater that since now been redone into stadium seating and 24 screens. the first R rated movie I saw in theaters when I was 13, bc we asked a guy to buy us tix was REVENGE OF THE NERDS.

A white stout, wtf, seriously Seven Brides made
    The Great White Stout
    ABV: 6.7 IBU: 10
A deceptive brew, featuring Coffee, Chocolate, Cinnamon, and Vanilla. But...how can a stout be so pale, yet smell so much like a vanilla mocha??
