    There was a 1967 ferrari 275 gtb that recently sold for $27M. Googling it, I'm seeing $3.1M average for most of them.

    isn't his the car from Ferris Bueller's Day Off ?? the one used in a movie was a kit car and Matthew Broderick hated it bc it kept stalling on him. haha.

    Good eye there, didn't even cross my mind. Looking it up, that was a '61, auctioned off three years ago for $10M.

    That's the way auctions work, the bidding started at $10M, after that you never know.
    When it comes to rare collectables like that, sometimes money is no object, ownership takes precedent.

    It could take years before another car that type goes on sale. Some people don't have that kind of time left.

    I wish I won a mega lottery to even have a chance at the lesser Ferrari's for $3mil. I gotta learn how to drive a stick first. haha.

    Jim isray really wanted Ringos '63 ludwig set that he overpaid by $1M. The guy selling paid $30k in '88.
