Man, this team is so drunk on their own overconfidence it is amazing.

When asked if Steelers were overconfident against Jags, Vince Williams says:

“I don’t think there’s a such things as being overconfident when you’re as talented as we are,” Williams told reporters via the team website. “When you have an amazing offense and amazing defense, statistically speaking, I don’t think you can be overconfident.”

I have never in my life heard somebody act so overconfident - he basically said we are so good it is impossible for us to be overconfident. WTF

And Amazing defense? Unbelievable. So much of this crap talk flowing from the head coach down to the players. Narcissistic thinking and pride before the fall. Still talking like they are unstoppable even after losing again.

Early mock draft prototype is in. I have the Steelers picking Alabama ILB Rashaan Evans 28th overall.

By the by, I find it hilarious that Williams and Mitchell, two of the worst overall starters on the defense, also seem to have the biggest mouths. Williams is literally only good at blitzing, taking crap angles in run pursuit all the time and not even tackling right while being too stiff to handle himself in coverage. I was all for the Steelers giving Williams a chance when Timmons chose to chase the money, but it's now clear to me that as long as Williams starts for this team, there will be at least one undisciplined player on the field.

Yeah Williams fooled me some ... his sack numbers and I thought he was supposed to be better against the run.

    True about stats.

Itis just crazy talk by Williams though too. Even if they truly were 8th overall defense in points allowed there are still 7 teams that were better. Even if you were a number one defense you could still be overconfident for a game and lose because of it. My high school basketball coach used to call this "you guys thought you could just throw your jocks on the court and win this one." This is a lesson most people learn in high school. But then again that was a long time ago and maybe the lessons are different now and kids are allowed to be overconfident. Who knows, maybe some idiots even say this is the new norm and we should be ok with it......

Check the offensive stats of the teams they played this year. Even an average defense finishes in the top 3, thanks Tubby for getting involved this year after what we thought was an improving defense last year.
