5 potential free agent targets for Dorsey; https://nflspinzone.com/2018/01/13/cleveland-browns-5-free-agent-targets-2018/
Coaches actually have to play players to allow them to have production. Njoku only saw the field 40ish% of the time. The Browns tried to play some sort of damn chess match and list Telfer as the starter all season. The excuse the Njoku is a liability in the run game is a farce, he graded out well on running plays. Also, pardon me for not citing a source, but it is widely reported that the thought of front office people around the league is not that the Browns have a bad roster. One former player even went as far as to say its a top 10 roster in the league, just not being utilized properly.
Here is an interesting scenario of what the Browns could do this off-season. For those most part, I really like it, especially the free agents. I would have selected a different QB at #1 however; https://scout.com/nfl/browns/Articl...ong-NFL-Mock-Draft-Experiment-Day-1-113735627
Quite a few WR's being added. In FA they sign Pryor and Landry, then draft James Washington (OKLA) with their last pick in the 2nd. Might this be a wake up call to Coleman to get his act together?
Kinda liked this mock a tad better. Doesn't go into FA or trades though. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/ind...l_mock_draft_all_12_pic.html#incart_big-photo
I noticed all the WR's, but I think it's warranted. I love the fact that Josh Gordon is back, but how can we completely count on him? He's an amazing talent but he's burned us too many times. Keeping fingers crossed with JG... And I'm REALLY hoping that this is the year Corey Coleman starts to yield dividends, but who knows what we have with him after two injury plagued seasons, and wildly inconsistent play.....I do know that after those two, we really have nothing. It's been a trouble spot for us it seems like forever. Hopefully Dorsey makes that among his top priorities..
I couldn't help myself, so I went over and signed up for Fanspeak...This was my results: 2018 Super Bowl version: SIGNED PLAYERS Name Position Cap Hit Tank Carder LB 1,000,000 Kirk Cousins QB 20,300,000 Jarvis Landry WR 7,000,000 Kyle Fuller CB 4,550,000 Terrelle Pryor WR 4,900,000 Le\'Veon Bell RB 10,500,000 Rahim Moore S 1,500,000 1: R1P1 S MINKAH FITZPATRICK ALABAMA 4: R1P4 LB ROQUAN SMITH GEORGIA 33: R2P1 OT ORLANDO BROWN OKLAHOMA 35: R2P3 CB ISAIAH OLIVER COLORADO 63: R2P31 RB SONY MICHEL GEORGIA 65: R3P1 WR ANTHONY MILLER MEMPHIS 103: R4P1 EDGE OLASUNKANMI ADENIYI TOLEDO 125: R4P23 LB MICAH KISER VIRGINIA 140: R5P1 TE IAN THOMAS INDIANA 161: R5P22 WR DEONTAY BURNETT USC 179: R6P1 C SCOTT QUESSENBERRY UCLA 220: R7P1 CB ED PARIS LSU
I can't imagine how this interview goes... Mike Mularkey: Will I get to call plays? Hue Jackson: No. MM: Will we commit to running the football? HJ: No. MM: All right, I think we're done here. HJ: Mike Mularkey turned down the OC job so I'll just have to keep calling the plays, guys.
In the "getting to know you" part of the interview... HJ: I can't believe they fired you for going 10-6. MM: I can't believe they didn't fire you for going 1-31. HJ: Are you a fan of buses, Mike? MM: Huh?
Honestly, I'm fine with either James or Fitzpatrick. I just think we are pigeonholed into safety with Derwin, but that's what we want anyway...with Fitzpatrick, he could play CB if a huge need came up, but I want him back at safety anyway...so...tomato tomato {it doesn't have the same effect when you aren't "saying" it two different ways}. Honestly, it's Mayfield or bust for me on the QBs...I want a veteran and Mayfield, then I would be just as happy with either James or Fitz...then Sony Michel at #33.
