Fair enough but if I'm the coach I also expect if I take a couple shots my QB will throw it in the end zone.

Were u watching the same game the rest of us were when they played NE in Dec? Forget they should have won if James holds on, it doesn’t even come down to that if Brown doesn’t get hurt, they missed his big plays especially in the 4th quarter where he’s done most of his damage. Steelers win going away if Brown plays that entire game. I have no doubt they would have won next week if they got past the pesky Jaguars today which again is just not a good matchup for them.

I would say they're about the same but it's a tough match up for some reason. It happens sometimes.

    Exactly

Your WRs played well. Ben went 22 of 30. He wasn't going to go 30 for 30 with Brown. Brown would have simply caught passes someone else didn't catch. It's not like the offense went to hell without him. Your defense wasn't going to allow less with Brown.

Your severely down playing the play making ability of AB, and basically saying that JuJu and Martavis made the plays AB would have made anyway is absolute nonsense and absurd.

Not really. I'm saying, they made plays on passes thrown to them. That game featured one or Ben's higher completion percentages.
Brown wasn't going to help the Steelers defense and he wasn't going to cause Brady to have another average game (by Brady standards). Let's remember that Ben had his 4th highest passer rating of the season while Brady had his 5th worst. Brown is great, but if your QB still has a very good day then it doesn't leave a lot of room for improvement

Actually if Brown is on the field they possibly extend 1 of thier last 3 drives instead of punting twice and interception on the third. As for Brown cant help the D you couldnt be more wrong. Brown likely helps extend drives keeping Brady on the bench brady has never torched a D from the sidelines. He also likely helps them score at the end of the game (either by scoring or by decoy).

Yes, they are........in the AFC anyways. I do think Minnesota could give them some problems, but not Philly.

How they played vs Pitt today means nothing. Pitt's offensive personnel presents FAR MORE PROBLEMS vs Pats D than the Jags do. Jags enter the game basically one dimensional from the start, and while the Pats defense is mediocre at best, they do have a pretty good secondary that likes to play straight man, and they will stack the box and force Bortles to throw a lot. Pats D overall has been a good situational one, particularly on 3rd down last half of the season. Jags were 8-14 vs Pitt today on 3rd down, nearly all of them 8+ yards, and converted them on basic dump offs, QB scrambles, or vanilla screens to backs. That isn't going to work against Belichek, even if they don't have a good defensive front. They will scheme to take those basic screens away or spy a nickel back to account for Bortles. They will force him to make more intermediate throws because they know he's less accurate. Pitt may have lead the league in sacks this year, but they did JACK in generating pressure today.

As for Brady and the offense, they may not have the overall talent that Pitt does on either side, but they have the best QB ever to play the game, who unlike dummy Big Ben - will take whatever a defense gives him, won't get bored with it, and understands the need to keep possession and move the sticks whenever its given to him. He NEVER feels the need to get someone else involved simply because they're more high-profile. You think Brady checks out of 4th and inches either time vs the Jags to a toss sweep or tries to throw it 20 yards down the field when an outlet receiver (Rogers) is sitting right in front of his face in the flat uncovered for a 4-5 yard gain? Not gonna happen. If given decent protection, Brady will chew them up with short passing attack using his backs and Gronk in the middle of the field.

Its about match ups, and the only way you're going to beat the Pats in New England is to outscore them and score close to 30 or more, unless your front-4 can wreak havoc all day without blitzing. Denver and the Giants are the only team to do that in recent history against them. You're not going to beat them in Foxboro 21-17.
