I'm sorry, but there are other coaches that they could've went with that wouldn't cost $10 million a year. Guy takes over a top five team and wins one Super Bowl and he's worth that? After that season they slipped into mediocrity pretty quick. A 10 year deal is unheard of in football. He hasn't coached in 8 years and people expect him to step right in and have success? For a QB guru he had problems replacing the amazing Brad Johnson. How did he even get that title? Rich Gannon was already well established and there was no one he developed in Tampa Bay.
Jarvis Landry fined $48,620 after Week 17 ejection... Rams’ Blake Countess gets $48,620 fine for hit on Marquise Goodwin...
how isn't this collusion? he just got the job and now he's pilfering other teams coaches the same day? seems kind of fast he's getting a staff together and the Rams have a game this weekend??
he better be the next coming of Vince Lombardi. 10 yrs of Chucky ball and $100 mil. he better win 2-4 Super Bowls! Wow. Glad he won't televise anymore MNF games now. thank God.
Jason Kelce and Harrison Smith didn't make the Pro Bowl but made the AP 1st team. Rams get 4 Special Teamers on the AP teams. 3 on the first.
Only one voted unanimously to All Pro team: This guy. No argument here....I'm tired of him torching my team, but I appreciate his game. One of the all time draft steals.
CAROLINA PANTHERS... Panthers coach Ron Rivera is getting a new contract, one that gives him some financial security but no extra job security. Rivera and the Panthers are close to agreeing to an extension through 2020, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. That means Rivera knows he’ll get paid through 2020. It doesn’t mean Rivera knows he’ll be the Panthers’ coach through 2020. The Panthers are up for sale, and they’ll have a new owner this year. The new owner, who will spend about $2 billion to buy the team, can easily afford to fire Rivera and hire someone else. Buying out the remainder of Rivera’s contract might cost something in the neighborhood of $10 million. That’s less than 1 percent of the purchase price of the team. For the Panthers’ next owner, this contract is a great deal: If Carolina wins the Super Bowl this year, the new owner is buying the team knowing that his Super Bowl-winning coach is locked up for three more seasons. If Carolina loses tomorrow in New Orleans and then has a disappointing 2018 season, the new owner can fire Rivera and hire a new coach, at the cost of a buyout that would sound like a lot of money to an ordinary person but would be a pittance to anyone who can afford to buy an NFL team. So Rivera will still have to impress the Panthers’ next owner or else he’ll be out, new contract or not. (PFT)
Donovan McNabb and Eric Davis fired by ESPN for their sexual misconduct allegations. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/espn-f...-sexual-harassment-allegations-221319256.html
This is the point where people assume that because I'm an Eagles fan and he was one of my favourite players that I give a shit.
Rams are second team in NFL history to go worst to first in scoring In 2016, the Jeff Fisher-led Los Angeles Rams scored an NFL-low 224 points. In 2017, the Sean McVay-led Rams scored an NFL-high 478 points. That doesn’t happen often. In fact, the Rams, who averaged 14.0 points per game last year and 29.9 points per game this year, were just the second team in NFL history to go worst to first in scoring. The only previous team to do it was the 49ers team that went from 236 points (16.9 per game) in 1964 to 421 points (30.1 per game) in 1965. Unlike these Rams, those 49ers had the same coach, Jack Christiansen, in both seasons. They also had the same quarterback in John Brodie, although they did draft a new leading rusher, Ken Willard, who made the Pro Bowl as a rookie. McVay engineered the turnaround with a quarterback in Jared Goff whom some were writing off last year, and with running back Todd Gurley, who has always had undeniable talent but had a disappointing season in 2016. The 2017 Rams showed what a difference a coach can make. (PFT)
