That was a close game. I predicted Canada vs Sweden pre-tournament and I expected a tight game but I did not think it'd be low scoring.

 

Mittelstadt got MVP. I'd give it Makar but he is a solid choice.

holy shit, I just found this footage and story of the 1987 WJC where a brawl breaks out and the arena operators turn off the damn lights. the crosscheck in the opening seconds is brutal. even the goalies go at it. future nhl'ers pierre turgeon and theo fleury were on team Canada at the time I believe.

 

Congrats to Canada and you Canadian fans. Well deserved gold.

I Love the Swedish kid throwing his silver in to the crowd. Love it. Might seems childish and petulant but this kid doesn’t GAF and he even doubled down in his post-game interview.
Rags snagged a good one with this kid.

 

Casey Mittlestadt’s inability to do a pull up doesn’t seem like all that big a deal anymore eh.
