Yes and yes, but the tuck rule raiders would have had their asses handed to them by the Steelers in the AFCCG.

Tony Dungy was never with the Raiders.

I said TAMPA as in Dungy and "his" as in Gruden's!

lyman-it's 7 degrees out and we are facing a blizzard tomorrow. I can't even think right now, let alone squabble over tony dungy and jon gruden. lol

Wasn't trying to quibble. I just interpreted your 2nd "his" to be Dungy as well.

Its been brutal here too. Nine days in a row under 10° with no end in sight.

I don't know if 1"-3" inches of snow constitutes a "blizzard."

    DETROIT LIONS...

Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah played the last game of his rookie contract on Sunday, and he picked a good time to show he can play at a high level.

Ansah, who is poised to become an unrestricted free agent in March, has been named NFC defensive player of the week after his three-sack performance in the Lions’ season finale against the Packers.

Ansah played the 2017 season under his fifth-year option of $12.7 million, and although he got off to a slow start, he had a very strong finish and was playing his best football down the stretch. That gives the Lions a tough decision about whether to franchise him, which would come with a price tag in the neighborhood of $17 million. If the Lions don’t franchise him, they risk losing him.

If Ansah does hit unrestricted free agency, he’ll be one of this year’s most sought-after prospects. He showed on Sunday that he can be a defensive force.

It's been a combination of heavy travel and health issues. I'm not completely out of the woods yet but definitely on the mend.

As far as potential "blizzard" goes, yeah, could happen. This is a named storm (Grayson). As with the tropical storms, it's all a matter of how close it gets to the coast before it turns to the side. One potential track would yield over a foot of snow in the northeast with 60-70 mph winds.

    DALLAS COWBOYS...

The Cowboys have begun the coaching staff turnover owner Jerry Jones promised.

According to Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Cowboys have fired quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson and secondary coach Joe Baker.

Wilson, a longtime NFL quarterback who finished his playing career with the Cowboys, had been in his current role since 2007. He was hired by then-head coach Wade Phillips, and was retained when Jason Garrett took over.

Baker has been with the team since 2012.

They’re also expected to be in the market for a new special teams coach, as Rich Bisaccia’s expected to join Jon Gruden’s staff in Oakland as soon as the Raiders are done wiping their feet with the Rooney Rule. (PFT)
