The Ditch part deux

Cat, I'm watching that hockey documentary, 10 episodes all 45 mins in length. I could pick up youtube on my new smart tv, looks real good. Not sure I have time to watch the whole thing, a bit at a time.

 

i watched it over 5 nights. they missed a ton of stuff and bc it's from candian tv they missed a lot of american based hockey stuff. not 1 mention of the miracle on ice but they went over and over haley wickenheiser r and team canada for woman!

i said earlier too many segments on woman in it. they left out a ton of top stuff. could've been 5 more dvds worth.

 

I agree, that's canada and the film industry. They have to make a narrative that puts women almost at par with the men. Nothing wrong with giving women their due, but that was a bit over the top. I never even heard of a lot of those names from the early years. It was interesting though that womans hockey was big during WW1.

 

I just noticed you did a lot of posting, I'll need some time to sift through them.

Bruins up on the Sens 3-0. Ottawa sucks Canadian Geese... man they are awful.

 

I think I said it here last postseason. Ottawa wouldn't repeat, won't make a playoff run and probably will struggle to make the playoffs if they even make it. This team relied on an unsustainable style that can't dominate even when it is clicking. Yes, last year they perhaps could have won it all if they held on vs Pittsburgh but they got in a groove that is hard to replicate and honestly isn't a feasible strategy to try and promote/coach. It just happened.

I saw these at the LCBO in a 6-pack for the original 6 teams. It was the stubbies. It was cool if I wanted to keep them on a shelf but I wouldn't so I wasn't buying Molson wheat water.

Florida with 5 straight. They're playing good hockey, and Reimer is on absolute fire. If they can keep this up, they should be in contention. They've got ground to make up, but hockey like this for the remainder of the season will do it.
