As for safety do we want a FS or a SS? If the latter, Ronnie Harrison (Alabama) looks great for the end of 1. Mostly I think the safeties on this team look worse than they are because they're schemed poorly. Sean Davis is a bad matchup for someone like Gronkowski and is a box safety to begin with, i.e. not suited for man coverage. Mike Mitchell plays way far back which stops him from making plays on the ball far too often.

I think if we want a proper Steelers FS, we should look at DeShon Elliot (Texas). He's big, rangy, and enforces. Currently a third-round prospect.

  4. If your looking for a Shazier type player look for Matthew Thomas in the mid rounds....this kid has been through a lot at FSU most notably his mother passing away in his early career at FSU and then becoming ineligible....a tall rangy LB w great speed...he has over come the odds and could become another Telvin Smith type LB from FSU

How long will William Gay last on this team? We surely have his successor on the roster already. Either Mike Hilton or Cam Sutton should be a great nickelback for a while. Brian Allen has had no playing time to show off what he can do, but if his fans are to be believed, he'll make a great outside corner down the line.

Nonetheless, a perfect scheme fit for us would be Josh Jackson (Iowa). He leads the NCAA in interceptions (7), has 17 pass deflections, and has allowed a passer rating of 40.9 into his coverage. He's well-versed in zone coverage but has the natural talent to play press or man. To me, he's the best corner in this class and he's currently a late-first prospect.

And he already sports the greatest color scheme the game of football has ever seen.

Sadly I think you are right about Shazier.

Mitchell isn't worth anywhere near what they are paying him. Davis has gone backwards this season. Prior to the Shazier injury I thought Safety might be their top priority.

Josh Jackson won’t make it past the first half of the draft , he’s climbing up big boards and will probably keep ascending after the combine . Anyone else saying Phewww glad we didn’t draft Eli Rotten Apple

That would suck if NE lost. I think they should play and watch the scoreboard.

I see your point, but I think I'd play it safe. I also thought about maybe having 1st team play the first half and then see. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Zero chance NE loses but I would be shocked if Ben didn’t play. However if Ben doesn’t play at all it’s kind of a magnificent message by Tomlin to the league regarding how predictable outcomes to games have become. Not a snowballs chance in hell that the Cobra Kai’s lose that game.

And not a snowball's chance that the Steelers lose this game . . . Even if Ben, Bell and Brown sit.

Are you saying the parade is still on?

Probably. And if I had my way, I would take a baseball bat to it and Tonya Harding every asshole there enjoying themselves at my team/city's expense.

I hope you are right, but I think the Browns could finally be getting a win this Sunday without Ben, Bell and Brown.

If they have a parade for an 0-16 team, I will consider it one of the most crass and tasteless gestures in sports history. I don't want to be dramatic but that's just asinine. Those players are trying and, yes, the results aren't there but they are doing their best, at least that's my assumption. To play upon their misery is ignorant.

The next time someone screws up at work in Cleveland Joe Thomas should drive down there and punch them in the face and see how they like it.

Dear beloveds, what about the possibility of Bell not being there next year. I think I would escalate RB in the top 3 rounds before TE. Also wouldn’t rule out WR if Bryant leaves.

    Please advise.
