One of the very few exceptions would be the Baltimore Ravens Superbowl win with Trent Dilfer as their QB.

He'd be the worst QB to win the Super Bowl in a landslide if not for the two Joes, Namath and Flacco. That Ravens' defense was historically good in an era when the passing game wasn't nearly as emphasized as it is now. Kerry Collins wouldn't have exactly been a name we'd like to remember as being a Super Bowl winner either.

2008 is actually Ben Roethlisberger's worst statistical year overall so far. We don't balk about him having a couple of rings though because he's been a great QB throughout his career. Our 2008 defense was simply near-impenetrable and was the reason we made it to the Super Bowl in the first place. Something other than our offense scored a touchdown in every playoff game that year (special teams vs. San Diego, defense vs. Ravens and Cardinals), which was a huge reason why we won those games.

Troy sealed the Deal vs the Ravens but even before his defensive touchdown the Steelers were winning that game.

    Why not?

I’d love to have him as the starter!

I'm doing things a little different this season so that those that have an interest get to see how much my rankings change and how some of my scores develop for rookies entering the draft.

If a Steelers fan ran the Browns, a Mock Draft

    Happy Thanksgiving!

1.1 - Sam Darnold, QB, USC
    - Pick this guy up and make him play for the team he thinks he has the clout to deny playing for! He has a prototypical build with a good arm and that's basically a franchise QB anyway.

1.11 - Derwin James, SS, Florida State
    - Good in-the-box safety. Would stave off bids to move Jabrill Peppers closer to the line of scrimmage.

2.33 - Malik Jefferson, LB, Texas
    - Talented linebacker who was considered a potential top-10 pick at one point. Can you say steal?

2.42 - Ronald Jones II, RB, USC
    - Reunite Jones with Darnold in the gem of Ohio and watch their chemistry shoot off the charts!

2.64 - Marcell Ateman, WR, Oklahoma State
    - The second-best receiver on the Cowboys? No big deal. Just look at Martavis Bryant! Oh wait . . .

3.65 - Reginald McKenzie Jr., DT, Tennessee
    - More big uglies! No team can have enough. This is cold-weather football right here!

*- comp picks will change when the Browns are on the clock after this point

4.97 - Josh Sweat, DE, Florida State
    - The Browns can't get after the QB since they couldn't sack Ben in week 1 of this season so here's another pass-rusher. Plus, this guy's got "Sweat" in his name, so he must work hard.

    4.122 - Maea Teuhema, G, SE Louisiana
    - Deshone Kizer is sacked so much and the Browns offensive line keeps falling with injuries. Here's some depth.

    5.129 - Cole Reyes, S, North Dakota
    - This guy knows how to play in cold weather. Smash-mouth football!

5.153 - Iman Marshall, CB, USC
    - Shit, who gave the Browns so many picks? Geez, no wonder we always beat them.

6.161 - Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame
    - I just saw Notre Dame and immediately thought of Stephon Tuitt.

7.193 - Beau Benzschawel, OG, Wisconsin
    - He's not gonna matter, just look at his name!

Wait, is that the end? Thank God. Congrats Browns on a successful draft. #HereWeGo #StairwayToSeven

  13. Sweat is a monster against the run...sets the edge and still getting back his explosiveness after a terrible knee injury....I hope he stays another yr but he could be a steal mid rounds

  16. #4 from W Kentucky is a stud as a ILB...only a Jr may not come out...also why does Pitt need a TE....McDonald is great in that offense

McDonald is great .... when he’s on the field Too oft injured for my liking

  18. Yes but Grimble is a good backup and still have James

Yes they have 3 good TE’s but Colbert’s job is to upgrade any position that makes a difference and improves the team. Why not get a game changing TE that creates matchup nightmares?

Shazier May never play another down and my gut says ILB in round 1. I said safety because I’d like to upgrade Mike Mitchell or at least have his replacement on the roster when his contract runs out

TE is a weak class this year. Mark Andrews is decidedly the top TE in this class but he's basically a glorified WR and the Steelers don't draft TEs like that. Troy Fumagalli (Wisconsin) looks more like the type of TE the Steelers like. I like Adam Breneman (UMass) more as a potential receiver.

Malik Jefferson has picked up steam as the college season wound down, so much so that's he back to looking like a mid-first. If we want an ILB in the first, hopefully Rashaan Evans makes a slide. Micah Kiser would appear tempting to a lot of people, but he's a Vince Williams clone, and we need someone who plays more like Shazier.
