Yes, but on the other end of the spectrum, two examples in Mitchell Schwartz and Terrell Pryor wanted to be here and actually played at the top of their ability while here..These were detrimental mistakes by Sashi...not sure we could take the chance of that continuing. To a lessor extent, he didn't even try to re-sign Taylor Gabriel or Tashuan Gipson (whom played at a pretty high level, not sure why you are using him as an example).
I don't disagree, when Joe refused the restructure, that move had to be made. It didn't effect the team at all really. Woah, I disagree, he wasn't garbage in any sense of the word. He never missed a down since he was drafted and while he seemed to struggle his rookie season...most rookies do. By his sophomore year, he was already developing and moving up the ranks of RTs..his 3rd and final year he played very well. In reality, the Browns hadn't moved on (like they did with the Britt/Pryor fiasco). Who had they signed instead of Schwartz? No one significant, they merely told him, you walk away and you lose the deal...when he came back 2 days later, they said sorry about your luck...AND I DEFENDED THEM FOR IT!! In retrospect, it was an egregious error. Haha, I swear I wrote the previous post BEFORE reading your next one, I pulled Schwartz and Pryor out of my memory bank, not your post..this is ironic that we are making similar arguments with the same players, but on different angles. In fact he was getting the exact same as the Browns number elsewhere...he merely said, for the same deal "I would rather remain a Brown"...they said, "no thank you, we've moved on". The multiple year deal wasn't even a factor at that point because they had already signed Britt...even though they played the year with an exorbitant amount of cap space at their disposal. Maybe Britt doesn't cash in the season if he has another veteran there to compete with..who knows.. The one guy I failed to mention, lol... That's the problem..."the player was a bad fit" exemplifies Sashi's shortcomings. He is great with numbers and acquiring assets. I'll forever defend and praise him for that, however, we needed someone else to use those assets the best of the football world abilities..that wasn't Sashi.
LOL - I reserve that level of excitement for Bae-ker Mayfield. Jalen Ramsey is nice, though... he'd make a fine Brown.
Dude... you're talking one play and extrapolating an entire defensive gameplan over 14 weeks. I don't think anyone here believes that the secondary is playing to their full ability or that the scheme (with defensemen leaving the middle of the field wide open) is a winnable one. As injuries have mounted, the scheme has only gone more dramatically towards the extremes.
Good, albeit depressing, read on the Browns. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21830588/the-cleveland-browns-winless-far-season
Uh oh...We got guarantees coming from the Chicago locker room: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...hicks-bears-wont-be-team-that-loses-to-browns Where have we heard this before? Opponents see the Browns are next on the schedule and they just can't help themselves.... Sad but true: Usually terrible teams will catch a break at some point during the season, when they play an opponent that simply looks past them... Cleveland has actually been SO amazingly bad that they have taken themselves out of the possibility of any team looking past them.....In fact, at this point, other NFL teams are so terrified with the mere thought of being "the team" that lost to the Browns, that their focus and intensity actually ratchets up. Nobody wants that embarrassment. Nobody is overlooking the Browns....If we are going to get a win, it won't be because the other team overlooked us...
Seriously... is this bum trying to be fired? https://www.pscp.tv/w/1vAxRMEgZYgJl This is the single-worst coach in the history of the NFL. "Just because you run for 59 yards don't mean that, I mean... all five of us coulda run through that hole. An inspiring run is when you break tackles. It's the tough runs." - on why Hue didn't give Crowell another carry.
^^^ That's just special... Wth? He is officially the worst coach of all time. Nice of him to continue with the sound bites that back that fact up every week. Hue sucks!
It was a few weeks ago, but at one point PFF had Davis as the top rated run stuffing LB, right behind him were Schobert and Kirksey.
Please. I know many Browns fans are going as a show of protest. It is not odd to think anyone here may go.
I'm not at all. He's a competitor. He sees it as an honor...now when he signs an agent, they might try to talk him out of it..stay tuned
