That reminds me of a time when I was walking a picket line for 3 hours every day for 3 weeks when my BoE went on strike. I was so sick that one of my teaching colleagues dispatched me to the doctor. Wait a minute babyfan. I thought the whole point of buying the new SB teams was to get points to increase your chances of winning the contest? Why would I waste 10 points buying a new SB team if there was no benefit?

We have always celebrated 2 winners of the contest, the regular season YTD winners and the Playoffs/SB winners. By buying a new pick for your SB picks you have increased your chances of winning that segment of the contest. So if, for instance, you felt that you didn't have a strong chance of winning the regular season YTD you could give up some of your points to increase your chances of winning the Playoffs/SB segment of the contest.

As I stated on page 82,

When we start the Playoffs/SB part of the contest everyone's YTD is cleared and we all start back at zero. This actually gives you the opportunity to get back into the contest to win. If your SB pick wins the SB you will be accorded a 40 points on to your Playoffs/SB YTD which should strongly increase your chances of winning that part of the contest.

If this isn't clear enough just let me know and I'll explain it in French

 

A bit of clarification on this week's MNF score. We are choosing for the Oak-Phi game please. If you have made your MNF pick for the earlier game please let me know what you want to revise it to.
