Gregg Williams towing the Hue-World-Order line:

    #BlameItOnSashi #JustGuys #NotARealFootballPlayer

Seriously... how do any of these players still want to be here.

Meh, athletes have been talked to like this their entire career. A true athlete is motivated by a coach talking shit, I'm not worried about any of this. I'm willing to bet any player worth their salt would respond "He's right"

  4. False...Williams has one of the most unsound defenses I have ever seen.....he makes mediocre QBs look like world beaters....any QB scramble and they run for days, PA is pitch n catch and he has a safety playing 20-30 yds in CF which is playing 10 vs 11 on most plays.....real coaches take the heat from their debacle of a game plan instead of deflecting the blame on their players

That offensive skill position group is scary. It's a best case scenario. If it happens the Browns could be set for a run in the North.

Not sure how that's happening, but all I know is, we got Alex Smith, LeVeon Bell AND AJ Green....so I like it!

My formatting got messed up but I thought this was your dream team for the Browns going into the draft.

  9. How is AJ Green coming to the Browns?

That is exactly what it was...Stopper tends to only read certain things, then try to piece a thought together at a later date.

He hypothesized (that means a set of propositions) that the Bengals might be cleaning house and starting over this off season. In order to do that properly, they would be looking for draft ammo, so he suggested the #6 overall pick going to the Bengals for AJ Green...That was among other suggestions from free agency and a couple of other trades. Scan back and you will find the post.

I'm not disagreeing with your view on the defense as a whole, I am suggesting a coaches words are not going to shatter the ego or resilience of a professional athlete. Rather, the great ones are challenged by these words and that is why the coaches do it in the first place.

As for his scheme, I saw it in the Thursday night game executed perfectly. The safety was 30 yards deep and while he reacted the way I believe Gregg Williams expects a safety to react and it was nearly a turnover, his own teammate broke up the play by running into him.

Problem with the scheme currently is the players implementing it...We do not have the ball hawking free safety needed to run this scheme..therefore, they should not be using it until they do. In that respect I am in total agreement.

  12. I saw the play but it happened on one play out of 60? You could see Denver just started running crossing routes and made Osweiler look pretty good...who knows

I did not see that trade proposal

Not lame at all. It's true. This roster IS lacking NFL talent in more spots than where it has it.

It was in the post that SAS laid out for "pre-draft" roster moves...

Even if it were true (which I don't believe) you don't use it as an excuse. You don't throw your players under the bus to excuse losses by the team you are coaching. I haven't watched a ton of Browns football but I've read about several examples of really poor coaching that effected the outcomes of game. And you'll never convince me Kessler couldn't have led this team to a few wins this year. That's on him.

As to the talent on this team...

There's no way this team has less talent than some of the teams from just a few years ago. Pettine won 7 games in 2014. You think that roster was more talented than this roster? No chance.

  18. Yes Hoyer was playing out of his mind early on then came crashing down...I'm still trying to see the talent on this team...their 1-29 in 2 seasons...just cause they have had high draft picks doesn't mean their good players

Even Hoyer in the 2nd half of that season was better than ANY quarterback on the roster today.

In 2014 Hoyer had a 55% completion percentage. He threw 12 TDs vs 13 INTs for a 76.5 QB rating. They won a game in Atlanta when he threw 3 INTs vs. 0 TDs and the Browns defense for the year was 32nd against the run giving up 141 yards per game. The current Browns team is #1 in the NFL giving up 3.3 yards per carry, 6th in yards per game (96.0).
