Hell, let's go for the trifecta... IF, they somehow manage to pull one out against the Ravens, they get the Bears (almost as bad as we are) and the Steelers the last week in a week they might opt to rest the better players for a playoff run....It could happen, just ask Eric Mangini (pulled off 4 to end out).
What's the difference, our ROSTER is made up of a bunch of 2nd and 3rd teamers...A win is a win is a win...
I'm more worried about wins than draft position! In fact, I think we might be better off in the #2 spot...I don't want Rosen
That's what you said bout preseason wins...there's a win and then there's a win....beating Pitt in the circumstance above means absolutely nothing
Browns choices: Mayfield or Darnold. Dorsey doesn't want a drop-back passer... his signature guys (Rodgers, Smith, Mahomes) did not have that temperament. Mayfield and Darnold both are able to extend plays and make them outside of the pocket if needed. Rosen is a classic drop-back passer. Also, accuracy is the highest trait according to both Dorsey and Jackson. Mayfield - 68.6% (47 games, and counting) Darnold - 65.3% (26 games, and counting) Rosen - 60.8% (30 games) Kizer - 60.7% (25 games) Allen - 56.2% (24 games)
Looking at the 2018 class and outside of Mayfield and Darnold, the accuracy is garbage. Ryan Finley: 62.0% Lamar Jackson: 57.4% Drew Lock: 54.5% (if he declares) Josh Allen: 56.2% Only Mason Rudolph checks in above 63% and just barely (63.2). Luke Falk (68.3%) and Jake Browning (64.4%) check the box but they aren't anywhere close to first round prospects.
