    hell yeah! wow.

I Always wondered when mail doesn't arrive - where does it go ? or packages? they have my address on them so when they don't come - who gets them x the millions of Americans and their mail. that's a lot of unclaimed mail.

UPS says they can't find it, not sure if this is just a canadian company, it's like DHL.

The bank wants him to sign papers saying that he'll be responsible if the check gets cashed,he has to put up his house as colateral. It wasn't a normal check, but a bank draft.

Its interesting to me to see the US use FedEX and UPS more frequently, where most of the remaining global international mail traffic typically goes via DHL. If you are sending something international, try to use a service that the recipient is most familiar... DHL. Their global tracking is excellent... (ahem) in most cases.

All they had to do was get off their lazy asses and make the 4 hr drive. The draft was sitting at the lawyers office, ready for pick-up.

I would "Army crawl" (assholes and elbows) to the place holding my $800K... and rent a helicopter for a ride home.

skinny-the guy I bought the hockey dvd set from was in Canada and he used FedEx and I got it in a few days. People who use DHL is like the freaking Pony Express. It takes weeks to get stuff from them or Air Canada. ugh. I won't buy something if I see it from Canada due to the slow shipping.

I bought tickets to a cruise 10 years ago from a company based in texas. The tickets arrived with DHL three days later.

This doesn't make much sense, there's $846K left of his dads money in the estates account. Once he deposits his money, the account will have a zero balance and should be closed.

If someone stumbles on this draft, where would they get the $846K from, they could void it, also a ten day hold with inquiries.

yeah the bank seems shady here. something isn't right or legit. ore the bank manager has that money and living in Fiji somewhere.

Not the bank, a UPS employee is hiding it somewhere. I just can't see how the bank can't just cancel the damn draft (void, stop payment, expired).

and asked the lady to put her house on lien ? that's nuts.

    Am I missing something here?

They issue another draft, they cash out, close dads bank account.

The old draft, you put a stop payment, void it, cancel.

Someone attempts a fraud with the old one. There's an automatic ten day hold, 2 pieces of photo id. The draft is dead, banks make me sick.
