I don't know the answer to that question, I just know he was hurt almost the entire time he was here...That is what I meant...why they moved on from him. They moved on BEFORE they knew what he would do in New York...
I don't disagree, I am simply stating they moved on because of his injury status with us...

I thought he played really well for the most part...Yeah, he got rocked a couple times, but he is arguably the best QB we've had in the last 19 years IMO...At least he's in the conversation...

Just trying to project for Cleveland. I have Mayfield as the clear-cut No. 1 guy/pick in this class. Considering the weighted average value of the position, it's not close (Saquon is an incredible talent, but few teams are investing draft-heavy in running backs, and none in the Top 3).

However, I don't see Hue Jackson liking a guy like Mayfield and Dorsey's record of QB's also would seem to prefer a more pro-style, prototype-sized guy.

I get that, but if I am talking draft, I am talking about who I personally think should be the player taken. I just want the best football players at each position, I don't want to settle for "a type". I sincerely hope this "new regime" doesn't either. I think at the time, Alex Smith was Dorsey's best option, so he went and got him...Now personally, I believe Cousins is the best option available this off season and I hope he goes and gets him...otherwise, if Smith is available, I believe he is the second best option...THEN I believe Baker Mayfield is the third best option.

Mayfield may be the #2 QB taken but I will be surprised if the Browns don't take Rosen. That being said I really like Mayfield. I knew he would jump into the 1st round when he was considered a day 3 pick earlier in the year.

... "placed a premium on performance and production"...

Translation: Baker Mayfield @ #1 overall.

  11. Do we really have to listen to this over the next 5 months....this may get worse than Kessler hype...we saw how that worked out

You don't have to tune in if you don't want to.

  13. Based on track record that may b a good idea lol

    Key points:
    • First round pick right now - still have Senior Bowl, Combine, interviews, workouts, etc.
    • Will "shoot up" draft boards
    • Size concerns are "overblown", per NFL scouts
    Browns cannot pass on him.

Sam Darnold apparently leaning returning to USC because the feeling is that he would be the pick by the John Dorsey and he doesn't want to play for the Browns.

I believe he "recanted" this story.

    Not wholeheartedly, but mostly.

Charlie Campbell reported Rosen was declaring (which he personally denied) and also that Darnold was returning to school in the same tweet.

Darnold was over-hyped as a redshirt freshman and regressed (probably back to where he should have been) this season. He'll be 20 years old when he's drafted if he declares. He should return to school - regardless of whether or not he has to play for the Cleveland Browns.

For that matter, Rosen should return to school, too. His situation is a little different, obviously, with Chip Kelly coming in as the new head coach, but he has struggled at times this season, had some injury concerns (shoulder, concussion), and hasn't taken major steps forward.

Like Darnold, Rosen will be young on draft day - 21 years old (a month young than DeShone Kizer when he was drafted) and his resume isn't great. Now, Rosen's greatest attribute - natural arm talent - isn't something that can be coached, so he doesn't have as much to gain from returning to school as Darnold does (needs to rebuild mechanics, prove he can make better decisions).

  18. He doesnt fit Chip's system at all...he's gone

You just want the way paved for Baker to be #1 lol.

  20. Also he hasnt taken major steps cause as a Frosh he put up really good numbers...3669 yds, 60% comp, 23 TDs in 13 games(2015), 3717 yds, 62.5 %, 26 TDs in 11 games(2017)...seems like progress to me
