Sure hope that's not the case, but it doesn't look or sound good at the moment. Test's pending Monday morning...
With the Eagles' win vs the Rams and the Vikings' loss vs the Panthers, the Eagles have clinched the common opponents tiebreaker over the Vikings. The Eagles swept the Redskins, Bears, Panthers and Rams while the Vikings lost to the Panthers. The Eagles clinch the #1 seed with 2 wins and if I'm not mistaken would win any multi-team tie with a win & Vikings loss. Edit: The Vikings would jump the Eagles in a 2-way tie at 12-4 if the Eagles only beat the Raiders and the vikings only lose to the Bengals.
But while Philadelphia has the NFC East locked up, much of the rest of the playoff race is far from over. Here’s how it looks, with three games to go: LEADERS 1. Eagles (11-2): They’ve clinched the NFC East, but Carson Wentz‘s injury cast a pall over Sunday’s win. 2. Vikings (10-3): Still nearly certain to win the NFC North, despite Sunday’s loss. 3. Rams (9-4): Still have the lead in the NFC West, but missed a big opportunity to earn home-field advantage in the playoffs. 4. Saints (9-4): The NFC South race is going down to the wire. 5. Panthers (9-4): A big win over the Vikings keeps the Panthers in good shape to make the playoffs. 6. Falcons (8-5): Still in the NFC South race, and a good bet to earn a wild card if they don’t win the division. OUTSIDE LOOKING IN 7. Seahawks (8-5): The head-to-head loss to the Falcons hurts. 8. Lions (7-6): Detroit in all likelihood needs to win out to get a wild card. 9. Packers (7-6): Staying in contention without Aaron Rodgers, but they’re still a long shot. 10. Cowboys (7-6): Probably too far out to have a realistic chance at a wild card. 11. Cardinals (6-7): Played well against a playoff team in the Titans, but unfortunately for the Cardinals, it’s a lot easier to be a playoff team in the AFC than the NFC.
I am expecting the worst but if it's nothing major Wentz will have a month to heal before the playoffs.
How dumb is Michael Bennett and Quinton Jefferson of the Seahawks? I hope the NFL throws the book at them, what a joke. No matter what the dumb fans do or say, get the hell off the field. I think Pete Carrol has lost control of his team.
well 1 bottles almost hit the one player in the head when he was LEAVING THE FIELD? he only went over to the stands to yell at the fans. then another bottle came at his head. I think he was leaving the field and the fans caused it to escalate.
he was seen eating and standing last night with a rubber brace on his leg and no crutches. why would he stand on it if it was damaged? certainly they can get someone to get him food? they said late last night the MCL was loose. whatever that means. all I know is after my brilliant fantasy football loss by 6 pts in 3 incredibly bad ways and Wentz's injury and to see Nick Foles be Nick Foles and skip passes off the turf, I am ready to call Tony Romo if Wentz's injury is more severe. That's how bad it is. Someone mentioned Kaepernick? I would NEVER WATCH THE NFL again if the Eagles signed him! I would take a ex-Cowboy instead ! That's how desperate I am for a QB!
Kap could help any NFL team as a solid backup. His charity work probably keeps him really busy these days though.
Well, what did he and you think was going to happen when he went over there? You just don't do that. Just like in football, baseball, hockey and basketball, when the game is over you leave pronto no matter what you hear. By going to the stands and yelling or arguing with fans who have been drinking all game something is going to happen. I place the blame squarely on the players.
Fans shouldn't throw things, but they do. Idiocy reigns supreme. The game of football is played with intensity and emotion, and it is the sole responsibility of the players to interact or not with the fans, good or bad. Police and security are there to provide a safe work space for the players and other personnel involved in the production of the game. The players should be smart enough to not engage, especially in a negative way, in a hostile environment. Keep your helmet on and get your ass into the locker room.
the smartest guy in the whole seattle - fans fiasco was the 1 guy who climbed the railing and got into the stands to tell them to stop throwing things and pointed to the second fan who threw a bottle.
It’s official, Wentz had a season ending ACL tear http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...rson-wentz-suffered-torn-acl-in-win-over-rams
if I'm Howie Roseman, I'm calling Tony Romo right now ! 1000 people are on Facebook saying "believe in Foles!" Look at what he did or the lack thereof in the final 8 min. he skipped 4 passes or more off the turf for incompletes and got rushed out of the pocket on multiple occasions without making a completed pass. This is the guy you wanna believe can beat New Orleans or a rematch with Seattle or Minnesota? Even i'm not that optimistic. Sorry, but this isn't 2013 Nick Foles, it's the 2017 one. Is a cold Romo much better? I don't know. That's how desperate I am right now !
