Man... that happened fast. Feel ever worse for Sashi now, knowing he was strung along. Disgusting Hue Jackson survived. Better be the world’s shortest leash.
Stanford redshirt junior RB Bryce Love won the Doak Walker Award on Thursday. Love beat out two Big Ten backs for the award for the top running back in the country: Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor, and Penn State's Saquon Barkley. Despite being limited by an ankle injury late in the year, Love still put up spectacular numbers; rushing for 1,973 yards and 17 touchdowns on a sensational 8.3 yards-per-carry. He'll look to go over the magical two thousand yard mark in their bowl game against Oklahoma State in the Alamo Bowl.

So Love won the Doak award over Barkley, you run to post it because you know Irish and SAS are high on him, but you trip and stumble over your own take when context is inserted into the discussion. Something, something, a meme about stats and how you pick and choose with no accountability, rinse, repeat...
Um if you go back about 2 months ago I said I liked Love better than Barkley...btw I dont care if Irish, SAS or anybody else was high on him....Barkley isnt that good IMO
I have RB up on the wall now and I’m hoping to get the second round up f scoring done by next Tuesday. Gaskin had a middle of the pack grade in the first round but I haven’t got to him yet in the second.
It won't be about Hue Jackson, it will be about who the new O-Coordinator is. That may be a determining factor here... Bring in Alex Van Pelt (Packers QB coach) or Wade Wilson (Cowboys QB coach) as the OC and all of a sudden, the Browns could start looking like a viable place for offensive free agents to come. I believe Hue Jackson ultimately wants to be a successful HC, not an OC with a HC title. As soon as the playoffs are over for the Cowboys and/or Packers, John Dorsey should be lining up candidates to fulfill the minority candidate obligation, then get Van Pelt on a private jet and get him signed ASAP. At the end of the day, free agents aren't choosing a college to go play for 3 years and get drafted...They are playing for a professional contract, SHOW ME THE MONEY! Kirk Cousins CHOSE not to sign a long term deal two years in a row for one simple reason...to get to free agency. Let the bidding begin... There is nothing more flattering to a players ego than money. While Kirk Cousins is obviously playing for money, he seems at least on the surface to be a consummate professional at his position. There hasn't been a free agent of his caliber to hit free agency since Drew Brees. Yes, Manning and Favre hit free agency, but in the twilight of their career, not at their pinnacle. This opportunity doesn't come around very often, it may never again. It's time for the Browns to make a power move, not draft another hopeful #1 overall and set him up for failure..
Yet, his first move as the Chiefs GM was to trade for Alex Smith...seems your theory has holes. If you are a true talent evaluator, you would have a list of free agents, a list of prospects and rank them all accordingly... Where does Kirk Cousins sit on that list of QB candidates? Do you have him ahead or behind Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield? Personally, I have him sitting at the top of QB's period, behind: Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford and obviously the best of the league except for the age factor of Brady, Brees and Rivers. Hell, even if he's the 10th best QB in the NFL, he needs to be the next QB of the Cleveland Browns. The best move in the NFL could come down to the Redskins emptying their wallets for Cousins to stay...Time will tell if they are capable of doing just that, as they have had two chances to do so and have not produced a winning number yet. IF Kirk Cousins enters free agency, John Dorsey can define his status as GM hero by making this his signature signing.
To be fair, Dorsey took over before the 2013 draft. You know, the one that is routinely considered the worst talent pool in NFL history. If my choices were (1) draft either E.J. Manuel or Geno Smith, or (2) trade for Alex Smith... I'd absolutely take the latter. At this immediate juncture? Smith > Cousins > Mayfield > Rosen > rest of the field For long-term success? Mayfield > Smith > Rosen > Cousins > rest of the field
Does anyone know . . . Why was Dorsey available in the first place? One would think if he's worth a shit, he would be gainfully employed, no?
