    Matt Flynn retired in 2014.

  2. The 1st miss is called ball placement...either my guy gets it or nobody does...Gordon was covered the whole route so Kizer missed long like he should...watch from the beginning and not just the still shot to make your point

I don't know if Rick Spielman will become the next Team President for us or not, but I do know I'm ready to follow Chris Spielman to hell. #powerful

I literally made those stills. I watched the film multiple times.

  5. Well then you saw he wasn't opened...perfect

  6. Also, Im not sure how you can make those still shots but if you can freeze it btwn the 25-20 yd line you will see exactly what I was talking bout...hes not opened and Kizer missed long for an incompletion

Sorry if it wasn’t clear in my writing. I didn’t think #3, #5, or #6 were “open”. They were, however, potentially contestable balls with better QB play. The other four he was wide open and even below-average QB play could have turned any one into a big gain or touchdown.

Change nothing but Rosen or Mayfield for Kizer in that game and the Browns would have won by two scores.

    Umm... because I’m awesome?

  9. Also, on the hitch route, Gordon wasnt even looking...no chance...still waiting on the freeze screen at bout 25-20 yd line

Sorry, you don't get to be lazy and wrong. Do you own film study and present your own evidence.

"I'm a football coach" doesn't carry a lot of weight - especially after watching some of the comments you're willing to stand by.

You're not kidding, I heard it on KNR as Schefter was supposedly tweeting it, yet I came on to "announce" and SAS had done it about 5 minutes earlier...

    LOL - Millennial.

I've seen a few folks report Schefter says Jackson is safe through 2018. Trying to find something concrete to confirm that. (All I've seen so far is he's "expected" to return for 2018).

    Ugh.

Jimmy Haslam reporting just now that Hue Jackson is indeed coming back for 2018 and the team is looking for a "proven roster builder" at the General Manager position.

Well, looks like we can start to close this thread. A few take-aways.
    1. An inept team owner chose a 1-27 head coach with accountability issues over a first-time personnel guy who added 24 rookies in the past two seasons, impactful veterans: Jamie Collins, Kevin Zeitler, Jason McCourty, and J.C. Tretter.

    2. Owner's comments stressing a "proven track record" of team building at the GM position means the decision - as always - boiled down to the starting quarterback. There can be no doubt that No. 1 overall is going to be a quarterback.

    3. Doesn't mean the end of DeShone Kizer in Cleveland, but definitely doesn't help. Most likely a pause in his career.

    4. A.J. McCarron will be a Cleveland Brown in 2018 come hell or high water.

    5. This eliminates Peyton Manning as a candidate for the GM/President job.

    6. Josh Rosen will be the pick.
