I do want the 2 teams at their best, no doubt. I hope you know that I couldn't be less serious about the rivalry. Although I do want Pittsburgh to hand Tammy's ass back to him every damn time they play. It was a solid way to get "weasel" and "Brady" into the same sentence to go along with the Gronk incident. I like Gronkowski. He's a good guy, a great TE and he does his part to make the league fun and entertaining. Gronk vs the Bengals' examples is night and day. If #87 plays v Pittsburgh, fine by me. If he doesn't, I'll take that too.

Didn't go too well, apparently, but it was more of a ceremonial blast than a true leveling implosion.

The same group that wiped out the Georgia Dome.

Isn't Detroit in debt hell? Where do they have the money for a ceremonial blast that goes poof?

 

I was thinking the same thing. Just any city in general wouldn't waste money on a ceremonial blast.

worst was watch his feet. he basically was slowing down and scurried his feet real fast to hit him when he was lying face down on the ground ! and the right arm seems to give him a shot to the body too. he deserves minimum 2 games and maybe more. this was as flagrant as it comes. this wasn't a live action play. the guy was lying out of bounds when Gronk hurried up to hit him.

 

Gronk suspended 1 game.

To book or reserve a (mounted) crane that can access a 15-story building, say, to remove a heavy sculpture from the premises, will cost $5K at minimum. Other conditions go with this, including the crane/boom company's timeline. They will want you on-site by no later than 5AM for most work in NYC. From the initial $5K, the expenses start coming off that. Once you spend the first $5K, you are then billed for everything beyond that. This is just to roll (1) large piece of equipment (crane/boom) to park near a building and load/unload onto a truck as many times as needed. Demo blast work? Much, much bigger production. So many more OSHA regs and monitors involved. I couldn't even begin to estimate the cost even for 300#s of blast. Nationally, it costs around $10K to completely demolish (no blasting) an average looking house.

I did attend the Kingdome implosion back in March 2000.

 

Gronkowski himself apologized as well.

he's sorry but will still appeal his suspension. love that part. haha. I know everyone has the right to an appeal, but it's just funny for apologizing but doesn't wanna serve the punishment for it.

 

the 1 thing about the Detroit Pontiac Silver Dome explosion were the cars so close to the stadium. When the Vet got imploded, they blocked off I-76 in case flying debris hit cars etc. They also blocked several streets as well for the same reasons. That was hundreds of yards away from the Vet. In Detroit, cars were basically right next to it when they pulled the plunger for the explosion to start.

I was wrong for doing it, but I'm appealing it because I shouldn't be punished for it.
Interpretation: I shot someone, admitted it, sentenced and now I'm appealing it, because I shouldn't be punished for the crime. Makes perfect sense... IN NEW ENGLAND.
WTF?!?! Give him another one for stupidity.

 

Well it's more of a case of punishment not fitting the crime but he said he intentionally targeted hitting him and smoked his back and head. I'm certain his clean record may be the only thing that kept him from getting 2 once he admitted it was on purpose. He isn't getting 0.

 

As reported, it was a "ceremonial blast" with only 300#s of fun (instead of 4800#s, like in Atlanta). Maybe they knew it wouldn't be a threat to the locals or watchers.
