Minnesota has an easy schedule left and almost laughable - Car, Cincy, GB and Chicago. Unless they have a collapse, they should win all 4 easily. That's not good for the Eagles. New Orleans has a tougher schedule with Atl, NYJ, Atl and TB. Eagles have - the Rams, NYG, Dallas and Oakland. On paper, it looks like Minn is 1, Philly will be 2 and New Orleans 3. But like Chris Berman always said "that's why you play the games!" 4 games to go gents!

Why was Gronkowski not ejected from the game yesterday? He blatantly hit a defenseless player (#27) in the back while the player was ruled down, out of bounds, and with the game clock stopped. I'm sure the NFL will look into this since several places are talking about it. What is the proper protocol on this? What is appropriate in this circumstance? Fine? Suspension? Both?
I have Gronk on my fantasy team. No suspension, please. Or maybe just 1 game (provided I get a first-round bye).
Honestly there were so many fouls all over the field on that play I think the refs just lost track of things. The outcry over it will probably mean a 1 game suspension. The Evans hit on Lattimore is probably a reasonable comp. but the inconsistency in punishments that is par for the course makes it impossible to tell what the proper protocol is.
I'm thinking just a fine, however I'm a blatant homer. If he gets a game I'd have no issue with it.(unless its the Steeler game) Pretty dirty move by Gronk. Also fairly out of character too.
Give him 2. Since Brady weaseled out of missing the Steelers game during the "BradyGate" debacle, have Gronk sit out the Pittsburgh game. Michael Bennett would probably disagree with your last sentence. Sergio Brown would disagree too.
One amazing stat... Patriots post double-digit wins for 15 straight seasons All good things come to an end, eventually. Or maybe not. The Patriots, with their win over the Bills, have now won their 10th game of the year. That marks the fifteenth straight season of 10 or more wins for the Patriots. It’s only one season short of the all-time record of 16 straight 10-win seasons, set by the 49ers from 1983 through 1999. The Patriots, who have not yet officially clinched a playoff berth for 2017, have made it to the playoffs in all but one of the prior 14 10-win seasons. In 2008, when quarterback Tom Brady suffered a Week One torn ACL, the Patriots went 11-5 but did not qualify for the postseason. (courtesy of PFT)
I love taking shots at New England (whenever I can), but what that organization has done over the last 15+ years is truly remarkable (all *'s aside <another dig>).
well the SNF broadcast had a field day with it. if Michael Crabtree got 2 games, Gronk should get more than he did for what he did. Inexcusable and classless. Sorry about your fantasy team Axe, but Gronk should be in the sin bin for 2 weeks at least and a big ass fine too ! No place in the NFL for what he did. If that were Pac-Man Jones or Vonte Burfict, they he would probably get 5 games. Throw the book at him !
Evans ran and hit a player whose back was turned to him. Gronk dove on a player who was already face down and out of bounds! Not really a comparison. Two really bad plays and disgusting acts.
1st off I tought you were more of a sporting man than that. You'd really prefer to not play the Pats at thier best? Secondly both the Bennett and Brown incidents were face to face melees not cheap shots. Bennett was quoted as saying "just two competitive teams getting rowdy at the end" and we all know Brown needed to be thrown out of the club.
All the refs in that Pats Bills game should get fines or suspensions, too. Maybe things won't escalate to the point of guys dropping flying elbows Macho Man-style if you don't swallow your whistles when a guy gets fouled by another guy THREE FUGGIN TIMES on the same play. Four unsportsmanlike penalties on one play...that's a reflection on the officials, too. And not a good one.
Are you on glue? Pac Man and Burfict are care felons. Gronk is a lovable big fella that just happened to trip and his elbow came out trying to brace his fall.
how much NE Homer juice are you drinking ? Tripped and fell my ass. He hurried up to drop the hammer on him!
