well skinny-all politicians lie. no sense in being political mentioning Trump. isn't the old political joke - kissing babies and stealing their lollipops ?

hopefully on $28m a year, Lauer stash his money well enough to never work again as his career is over. To me again, first it was stories on Harvey Weinstein. Then Kevin Spacey. Then the dam breaks all everyone is getting accused. No one is safe from anything.

Back in 2013, Louis CK, of all people, once "joked/said", "There is no greater threat to women than men."

Anyone that hasn't sexually harassed or assaulted someone is perfectly safe.

bears-I don't believe that anymore. woman who were harassed or not could say anything damaging to get a man in trouble. it's her word vs yours. who would your company believe ? so the innocent could fall victim of this crap too if evil and devious women were planning to take men down. companies play it safe and just fire the men instead of causing a massive PR nightmare. are ALL the stories true? probably 98% of them. that leaves 2% false but still leaving damaging affects on those wrongly accused.

I have yet to see anyone that isn't a politician claim that the accusations against them were completely false.

Weinstein is MIA and the laundry list of accusations against him speak for themselves. Kevin Spacey basically admitted wrong doing and played the Gay card. Lauer isn't denying anything. Franken isn't really denying wrong doing.

I'm sure somewhere along the line there are gonna be women looking to make a quick buck or 15 minutes of fame....but I don't think that's happen as of yet.

Hollywood, the entertainment industry as a whole, and politics have had a long standing problem with men in power taking advantage of women and men around them. It used to get covered up really well. It doesn't anymore and the flood gates have opened.

While there are sure to be bad people that will try to take advantage of things......all in all, this is a REALLY GOOD thing for women and for gender equality.

Fuck Matt Lauer and his 25 million a year.....you can't lock a women in a room and drop your pants and think that's okay. Fuck all of Hollywood and their casting couches and rampant pedophilia. I wish I believed in hell because I'd like to think that's where people like this go.

The biggest problem with a lot of these cases is that maybe at the time some of these issues happened the victims were semi willing because they wanted to further their careers.
Not saying that they wanted to do it, just that they turned the other cheek to try to get ahead. But now they are having buyers remorse or even had buyers remorse back when it happened. I am not saying that they wanted these things to happen, but wanted to have a career more than they didn't want it to happen. Some of the cases were just plain rape and wrong no matter what way you look at it. Nobody talks about how many people threw themselves at famous people trying to get their favor so they could gain what they desired. I am not saying any of these cases are right, just that everything can't always be looked at as exactly what we are being lead to believe.

Bette Midler, in the 1990s, did an interview with Barbara Walters, where she said Geraldo Rivera groped her. In Geraldo's autobiography, he claimed that Midler was "insatiable". This is gonna come back around, I'm sure.

Add 1 more to Russell Simmons. Jenny Lumet, a writer and daughter of famous director Sidney Lumet (Jenny Lumet is also the grand daughter of Lena Horne), has accused Simmons of sexual assault in the 1990s. Simmons has resigned from all of his corporations.

Seriously - who the hell has a "secret button" under the desk that surreptitiously locks the door...? It's like something out of a bad Nicolas Cage movie (or, rather, a typical Nick Cage movie) - a secret switch that opens a centuries-closed door/vault.

Cinemax movies after midnight or Skinamax movies as they're called-- aka soft porn doesn't even have offices with a button that locks doors! From now on that's the Matt Lauer button!

And I liked National Treasure with Cage. The sequel sucked, but the original was fun to watch.
