Zorn and Krieg were a lot of fun to watch play. I loved them old helmets too. Good luck against Philly... I really mean that. Slaughter the livin daylights out of them.

With the result of the Cowboys-Redskins game tonight, the Eagles could clinch the NFC East Title. It would be one of the earlier clinches of the Division ever for the Eagles. Just win !

 

Its not really Eagles hate as much as it is Vikings love, lol.

 

Browns WR Josh Gordon to start Sunday vs. Chargers

The Cleveland Browns won't slow-play Josh Gordon's return.

Coach Hue Jackson said Thursday the receiver will start in his first game since December 21, 2014 when the Browns visit the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

"Are you kidding me? Yeah, he's going to start," Jackson said.

The coach noted that Gordon, who was conditionally reinstated on Nov. 1, has enough of a grasp of the playbook to run with the first-team in his debut. Gordon began practicing on Nov. 20.

Gordon missed the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons due to suspension for repeated violation of the league's substance abuse policy. The receiver voluntarily checked himself into rehab in 2016 after participating in the Browns training camp and preseason.

The 6-foot-3 athletic freak led NFL in receiving in 2013 with 1,646 yards despite playing only 14 games. In his first two NFL seasons, Gordon earned 2,451 receiving yards, fourth-most by any player in his first two seasons since the 1970 merger (behind only Odell Beckham Jr., Randy Moss, and Jerry Rice).

Gordon's presence should immediately open the offense for quarterback DeShone Kizer, who has played his best games of the season since the Week 9 bye.

Gordon and Corey Coleman on the field at the same time gives Kizer two playmaking weapons on the outside that can win one-on-one battles. Finally boasting a legit No. 1 and No. 2 threat will help the Browns better evaluate their quarterback heading into the offseason. (NFL.com)

 

If one of these teams have any chance at the playoffs it's Washington. They could easily finish 10-6 and with some help could be in. They own the tiebreaker over Seattle and LA as well. However they would surely need the Falcons to finish 9-7 or the Panthers to finish 3rd in the NFC South at 10-6.

 

Good game by Dallas last night. Dak still doesn't look like last year's Dak, but at least he avoided turning the ball over. Good running by Alfred the Butler, welcome back Dez, and nice punt return by Ryan "Don't Call Me Barry" Switzer.

 

Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson gets PED suspension

The Panthers will be without a key member of their defensive line rotation for the next month.

The league announced that defensive end Charles Johnson was suspended four games for violating the policy on performance enhancing substances.

The suspension begins immediately, and he’ll be eligible to return for Week 17.

“I accept full responsibility,” Johnson said in a statement released by the team. “I have been recovering from back surgery, dealing with the daily grind of football and mistakenly thought this could help. It was an error in judgement on my part. We have a special group here I wanted to be a part of and felt an obligation to do my part by getting back as soon as possible.

“I have always prided myself on being a person who does things the right way through hard work, dedication and sacrifice. I want to apologize to my team, Mr. Richardson and Panthers fans for this mistake. Regretfully I have disappointed people, but I promise to come back ready to redeem myself when this suspension is over.”

The 31-year-old Johnson has 67.5 sacks in his 11 seasons with the team, and has been a solid player against the run throughout his career. Now, the Panthers are a man short as they push for playoff position.

 

Alshon Jeffery has signed a 4-year, $52 million extension with the Eagles with $27 million guaranteed.

 

Aaron Rodgers practiced today and is designated to come off IR... super man, damn.

 

Giants HC Ben McAdoo may be fired as soon as today following the game according to reports.

 

What a mess in G Land. McAdoo seems very defiant and claims he will not bench Geno Smith. Even in the face of losing his job he sticks to his guns... the guy must be nuts. Archie Manning says Eli may just retire, so there's that too.

What I don't get is why someone just doesn't axe McAdoo right now and reinstate Manning as the starter and carry on with playing football. It must be a bitch playing for the Giants right now.

 

Wow... what a turn around in KC. I saw this before. The ol' 5-0 start followed by a crash down to Earth. If Andy could have bottled that early magic, he'd be a football genius... but he's not. Strange team to figure out really as they have a decent collection of talented pieces, they just aint on the same page. They better right the ship and it better happen right now.

So much for "the top of the NFC." Vikes now hold the #1 spot. With the Saints surging, if the Birds fall to the Rams, they could be #3 or #4.

 

yeah a lot of questionable calls from Pederson. Punting on 4th and 1 in the first qtr with the best ratio success of completing 4th and 1's in the NFL this year? Not going for the FG in the 3rd quarter? And lord know Wentz's fumble was an easy 7 off the board too. That's not counting all the penalties against the Eagles too. Some justified, some not. A recipe for a loss, when it could've been a win. It had to happen sometime. Learn from it and move on! Win vs LA and everything is peachy!
