Here’s how the AFC playoff race looks through Week 12:

LEADERS
1. Steelers (9-2): Pittsburgh has the tiebreaker over New England based on a better conference record.

2. Patriots (9-2): New England’s December 17 game at Pittsburgh is shaping up to be the game of the year.

3. Titans (7-4): The Week 17 date with the Jaguars could decide the AFC South. Could a Jaguars-Titans game really get flexed into prime time?

4. Chiefs (6-5): Kansas City has stumbled mightily after a hot start, and the Chargers are hot on the Chiefs’ tails.

5. Jaguars (7-4): Is America ready for the Jaguars in the playoffs? Because they’re a near-lock to make it.

6. Ravens (6-5): Joe Flacco isn’t playing well, but Baltimore’s defense is, and that may be enough.

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
7. Bills (6-5): Can the Bills make the playoffs for the first time this century?

8. Bengals (5-6): Cincinnati is moving up in the AFC standings after a slow start.

9. Chargers (5-6): Los Angeles may get a home playoff game in its tiny stadium.

10. Raiders (5-6): Only a game behind the Chiefs despite a very disappointing start.

11. Jets (4-7): After a surprisingly strong start, the Jets are turning into the team everyone thought they were.

12. Dolphins (4-7): Dueling with the Jets for last place.

13. Texans (4-7): They’d be the best team in the AFC South if Deshaun Watson and J.J. Watt were healthy.

14. Colts (3-8): If only Andrew Luck had been healthy.

15. Broncos (3-8): Denver may be the biggest disappointment in the league.

16. Browns (0-11): The only AFC team to be mathematically eliminated.

 

So Eli is being benched. I think it's a shame. 13 years as a starter, didn't miss a game. Never badmouthed the organization. Loses all his WRs in the same game and his o-line will never be a unit to be bragged about. Now he gets benched for Geno Smith......Geno Glass Jaw Freaking Smith, just so Ben Macadoo has a scapegoat. I'm not an Eli fan but he deserves better imo

 

Now the Giants are tanking!

 

I think they want another QB this coming draft. I guess Webb isn't making much of an impression in practice.

 

if Eli is near done, then get your QB of the future now, if it's a solid QB draft in 2018 !

Going to be a real strong class out there this upcoming draft also.

 

Eli should go to Denver. Or the Giants should trade him to Denver. He could do what Peyton did for them.

Eagles can tie NFL record with fifth straight 20-point win

The Eagles aren’t just winning, they’re blowing their opponents out. And they can tie an NFL record if they do it again on Sunday night.

If the Eagles beat the Seahawks by 20 points or more, it will be their fifth consecutive 20-point victory. That would tie an NFL record.

The last team to win five consecutive games by 20 points or more was the 1999 “Greatest Show on Turf” St. Louis Rams. The Eagles have beaten the Bears 31-3, the Cowboys 37-9, the Broncos 51-23 and the 49ers 33-10 over their last four games.

In addition to the 1999 Rams, four other teams in NFL or AFL history have won five straight games by 20 or more points: The 1961 Packers, the 1961 Houston Oilers, the 1953 Eagles and the 1949 Eagles. (PFT)

 

Talk about disrespect... the (9-2) Vikings are 3 point UNDERDOGS at (7-4) Atlanta.

 

Atlanta looks like they might be picking up the pace a bit - could be a VERY dangerous team down the stretch.

 

Don't understand that, Falcons haven't exactly lit it up at home and the Vikings have been playing great and have the kind of team that is built to play on the road: solid D, good run game, and a game manager QB that doesn't make many mistakes.

 

Atlanta is getting it together... slowly, but surely. They will be desperate and at home, that in itself is dangerous. Vikings play well indoors and on turf, so maybe that factors in also.

I'm liking the last few games of this seaon... a whole lotta changes can come real quickly in the playoff battles. A true test for both teams.

 

hell Will-I just want a W in Seattle. Who cares about the 20 pt margin?

 

I hate Seattle and nothing personal, but I hope the Seahawks belt the Eagles. Vikings need home field advantage, dammitt!!!
