Alabama is in trouble. I think Ohio State would jump them. Not 100% on that but like 75%. The real question will be TCU or Alabama? And of course the Pac-12 champ and Notre Dame could throw their hat in the ring.
Josh Rosen injured in what may have been his final college game UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen, viewed as a potential first overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, ended what may have been his final college game on the sideline last night. Rosen took a hard hit at the end of the first half of UCLA’s win over Cal and did not play in the second half, instead standing on the sideline in street clothes. UCLA interim head coach Jedd Fisch, coaching the team for the first time in place of the recently fired Jim Mora, did not say what happened to Rosen but indicated that Rosen will be back for UCLA’s bowl game. “We want to make sure that he is healthy for the bowl game,” Fisch said. “He got hit pretty hard on that one sack and he wants to make sure that he is healthy for the bowl game as well.” But realistically, Rosen has to be considering sitting out his bowl game. At 6-6, UCLA will go to a lower-tier bowl, and last year some top draft prospects chose to skip their bowl games to stay healthy for the NFL. If Rosen was going to skip the second half to stay healthy for some mediocre bowl game, why not skip that bowl game to stay healthy for the NFL? Rosen has previously missed time with a shoulder injury and a concussion, and it would be hard to blame him if he decided not to risk any more injuries while he is still an amateur. Rosen is a junior and could return for UCLA next season. But it’s too soon to say whether he will, especially considering that UCLA doesn’t even know who its coach will be next year. If UCLA hires someone Rosen thinks would help him continue to develop for the pros, he might be persuaded to come back. If UCLA hires someone who runs an offense that Rosen doesn’t think matches his skill set, he would certainly turn pro. So much remains in flux for Rosen, who might represent UCLA in a bowl game in a few weeks, or might not play again until he’s in the NFL. ___________ ________________________ You got to hope its nothing serious and it doesn't sound like it is.
Source say UCF's Scott Frost was offered and turned down the Gators job this morning, which is why they pivoted to Dan Mullen. Frost may be Nebraska bound but waiting for after the AAC Championship game to make anything official.
UCF should honestly be ranked right behind Wisconsin right now if you do a true comparison. The bias against UCF is strong. If it was up to me UCF would be in if they win and Wisconsin or Oklahoma lose next week.
Modern math problem: Person 1 claims Person 2 told him a secret that Person 3 told Person 2 about Person 4 years before the secret became public knowledge. Person 2 denies making the statement to Person 1. Person 3 denies having any knowledge of the secret about Person 4 before it became public knowledge. How long does it take before Person 3 loses a multimillion dollar job offer because 100 protestors and some Twitiots lost their minds about his alleged (hearsay x2) knowledge of the secret?
The only thing linking Schiano is 1 guy that said he saw Greg as white as a ghost after seeing Sandusky with a boy. This hearsay wasn't further touched upon in any interview and he Schiano wasn't even one of undreds of people investigated. There is no other evidence of him being in the know. However it is still a horrible hire ONLY because UT should have seen the backlash coming and even if they did keep him it would be hard to recruit and get booster money from people that believe he did anything.
ND was out bf that loss to Stanford. They never win there, so why play them? It's like an automatic loss every other year! Miami is done. Bama is done. ND is done. It's who wins this weekend and the top 4 get in.
Well the selection show didn't answer too much. Alabama is at #5 and Ohio State at #8 but that is still in the jumpable range considering the teams in between them. Actually if anything the thing that has been shown is that perhaps Clemson is in with a loss if Oklahoma or Wisconsin lose.
but if they didn't lose to Pitt, they would be #1 now and a loss to probably #2 clemson isn't as bad as losing to unranked Pitt. that loss did hurt them and dropped them to #7.
Miami with 1 loss to Clemson was never getting in. Miami with 0 losses or 1 loss to Pitt always was getting in. That's why it doesn't matter. It will just affect their seed.
so if miami never lost to pitt and was #1 and clemson was #2 and miami loses a close game to them, they would be out ? ouch.
